Holy damn?! What is this sorcery?!!

Post by dafc »

Heya guys I got my RDD CDI and 90/100 lighting kit from Ron 2 weeks ago this kit was meant for an RX100. Ron was always like whatever you do just don't blow the CDI up, let me tell you my bike's chassis is in utter shit state. Rust everywhere, it's like Ron's worst nightmare for the CDI install scenario come true, here are a bunch of pics that speak for themselves.

Big up to Aditya who has been a huge help with the install, the guy put it down so simply that I was sure I wouldn't go wrong anywhere. So I got around installing the CDI a few days ago, fingers crossed, ignition key on, half a kick down and the pittar pattar started. Timed the motor at 22deg btdc today, and let me tell you I was just blown off by the low end grunt. I didn't expect my bike's character would change like this, it would rattle so bad when it used to hit 70 it was like the bike would rattle to pieces on the road. But with the new ignition on, holy damn not only did it hit 100ish effortlessly, it just kept revving and revving it was almost like the motor was saying "twist that thing you pussy" sorry I have to be explicit but I have no other words lol. I was able to hit a little more than 100 before I chopped the throttle I guess this is the limit. I expected a lot from this ignition swap and trust me by no means I was let down anywhere. I feel sorry for the retards on crapbhp forum who try to beat the RDD cdi down. Ignorance is a bliss they say! Anyways I am glad I am not an ignorant any more :D

Peace!

LOL Now you know why I avoid RX100 Bikes.
You have joined a very select group of people in this country.

A group that is actually entitled to talk about RDD Performance Products.
Because they have actually tried it.

You think bike is calling you pussy or what ever you want.
But I stick to my original view.
Without RDD CDI = Struggling to shit bulging eyes and veins. And its like bike says Im going to take a crap on you really soon unless you back off on the gas. vs silky smooth motion with RDD CDI. Saying give me more Im ready for it.

Thanks for the kind words mate! Glad I could help. You can soup up the timing a little bit more. Back off a little bit once you start deto. And you're good to go!

@mohsihummer yes I have the new lighting kit as well, I had to change over to RXG wiring harness and switch assembly.

@chinoy my point was even if the chassis is bad, the CDI still works perfect if it has been wired right you know making sure metal to metal contact.

@ad1tya I will try that today hope I put a hole in the piston hahahaha

Good to hear that mate. The ol' rx just got a new lease of life.

Go easy with the advance. You don't want a Saint-like piston(holey).

Two things to keep in mind
1. The RX100 is a smaller piston than a RXG135 so the amount of advance you can dial in much less. Which is also probably why you like curve2 better.
2. Just remember that as you bump up the timing. You must also bump up the fuel.
