Thats what I tell the splendor guy every time he asks me what mileage I get when Im on a SBK or the RZ. Always puts a smile on their face.

But seriously the guys do get pretty decent mileage.

Im pretty sure it will be at least 18.

If you want bring give the bike to Teji or me and we will test it.
If anybody challenges the number we can have a bet for some serious money.

last i checked i get between 19 - 15 kmph running on 165 mains .

Long ride where I was pushing the bike most of the times gave like 15.

Easy riding to work and back gave me closer to 20. Its pretty economical, not as bad as people think.

If you drive it sanely or like most guys drive their stock RDs you will get 18-20 easy. i.e. keep the

20 is pretty decent Id like to see a stock RD give 20.
Im willing to bet money that Sandeeps RD can give 20.

This is similar to my Car tuning. Drive the esteem / Baleno sanely and you will get way above what other guys get as average. Drive it loco or throw the power switch mode and your mileage comes down.
What more can you ask for from an engine. Dr. Jekel & Mr. Hyde on call at your command.
In case your wondering how we pull it off. Its simple we boost the VE of the engine by at lest 30-40%
The hint lies in the fact that the emissions fall off the scale.

What mileage where you getting with the Delhi CDI sorry TCI Ignition ?

Most people think of porting as Just larger Ex. ports. Yes we do those too for the Land speed and high power bikes. But for street bikes. 90% of the work is just with the transfers and improving scavenging efficiency. The scavenging effiency on a stock RD is pretty crappy.

Also dont forget that a RD with stock filter + 145 Mains flows allmost the same as a RD with 220 Mains and Chinoy Filter.

BTW the jets are numbered by me on my own system.
A RDD 250 is anyway way way bigger than a stock 165.

So you see just installing the CDI gave you a boost. Off 2-4 Kmp / Ltr.
Can you imagine the boost you would get if the Transfers where fixed and the Head was also worked on. At least another 2-4 Km/LTR.
