Im seeing something very silly and dangerous happening.
Without saying which forum. I have observed Vpaer's talking about the quality of Nicotine.
Some new company has come out with a nicotine that does not have any throat hit. It does not give a peppery smell on the exhale and it does not smell fishy.
Any everybody is running to buy this nicotine. Vendors who are selling with Throat hit or peppery taste or smell are loosing out business. And everybody is trying to make their nicotine base with no smell or TH.
This in my view is very very dangerous.
Pure Nicotine is documented to have a fishy smell. Its supposed to have throat hit. And its supposed to be peppery.
So then what are these vendors selling as Nicotine. What process are they doing to the nicotine to change its character this much.
The shear stupidity of the situation blows my mind.
Ive tried challenging this but I think my posts just get deleted.
Nicotine used in e-cig is anyway USP grade that means over 99% pure. nothing in that 1% can change the very nature of what nicotine is supposed to behave and act like. The lab report I have says 99.7 pure.
The only real question about nicotine is is only Nicotine or is it Nicotine with other Alkaloids in tobacco.
I prefer the one with Alkaloids because then you dont miss cig at all. No need for WTA no need for NET or tobacco absolute.
But its not like we have any say in what Nicotine we can buy. We just buy Nicotine USP and see the TOC / lab report.

Re: Madness on some Vaping forums.
the minty hint in your nic has gone down significantly after steeping just like you said.. as for throat hit- its barely there.
Re: Madness on some Vaping forums.
Moshi you have not yet tested the Indian Nic. Like I told you I was finishing off all my USA Nic before using the Indian Nic.
Yes steeping does help air out any smell in the Nic. As does aging. When I first got my USA nic. The smell was so strong you would pass out if you tried to take a wif. But now after 2 months. There is no smell.
I think all Nic has a very strong smell but with age it goes away.
The fresher the nic the stronger the smell. The more aged it is the lower the smell. The indian stuff had a really strong smell. But now its almost gone.
I think steeping is a good idea. Even at the customer end.
I had to steep my fast tech juices for 2 months to use them.
Would recommend people steep their juice no matter what.
