Finally posting my intro after about 3 months of joining this forum. I have been posting in some threads where i was looking for some info.
Regarding me: Work in a IT industry in pune. RTR is my bike, bought 7 months ago and love it. But right now planning and strategizing to get better bikes and have decided to save for a 600. But i must tell you, i would love to own a RD and get it painted in pearl white and keep it neat. Lets c.
I like the passion you guys have regarding your bikes, very infectious Keep it going.
PS: Would have loved to come down for the track day on 11th but short of leaves!!!
Thank You all,do lemme know about any meets if you pune guys have, would love to check out any of the RDD bikes. And yes, the search for the RD has begun.
@ajaybiz, its just what i would love to own. But as you said I will have to obviously start from scratch.
man, get that 600 forget the RD unless you can convince any RDD member to sell one of the RDD specials..
The advice to ‘be yourself’ is obviously nonsense.
But our brains accept this tripe as wisdom, because it is more comfortable
to believe that we have a strategy for life than to believe we have no idea how to behave.
Forget about buying an RD from Pune man. Buy something from 3rd tier cities such as Kolhapur or Nasik or Aurangabad (though even there the RD prices are slowly going into 6 digits ). Buy something legal as cheap as you can, then do it up. If you THINK you are getting a good deal, ride the bike and check if it atleast outpulls a well-kept RX-135 5-speed. Don't go on cosmetic condition alone.

Yes vivek, agree with you on that part. It would be great to check out on of the well maintained RDs in Pune to get a ballpark idea of the performance. Closest i have come to good 2strk performance is one of the rally prepped factory racing shoguns one of the mechanics in TVS here has - that was quite an experience i must say
