the street setup just rocks!!

the details- received the Chinoy Filter couple of days back...runnin 220 MJ....20-21 deg advnce(approx)....with the street port 135 5 spd barrel.....now went for a trail run....bike was just ok till 40kmph..then findin some open road i just decided to open her ...this was the feeling...the intake growl turned into a howl!!...and she was off...before knowing i was clocking 70kmph(speedo)....as if the range in between didn't exist!! .... i jst cruised around that mark cause my runnin isin't over yet...just too deliciously quick....but i had to control the urge ...

just waiting untill i am done with the runnin'.....the porting is just too perfect for the street...zippy and fun .....i don't have any more words to say..that ron(sir)....U R THE MAN ......thankx a ton!....will keep posted once she finishes 3000km....then i open her up!! .....running her rich now

You dont need to run it in for more than 1000 Kms max.
Feel free to open it up.
70 Kms sounds slow. Where you in first or 2nd gear.

if u feel that the engine has become freer than it used to be (when u posted last) start opening a litttle bye little......then maybe soon 70 will seem real slow....have fun man.....

hehe this aint no RX man ..... its a RXC !!!! Oh well am just glad u sorted everything and are enjoying ur bike ..... yea 1K Km's is more than enough .... but any violent use of the throttle should be done after the bike is properly warmed up ....

It depends on the gearing.
But you should be able to pull 70 in 2nd quite easilly.
What gearing are you on.
We do know that doing stuff like puting a 5 speed barrel onto a 4 speed geared bike makes it run like a dog.

Im pretty sure quite a few of our RXGs hit 80 in second porting is a wee bit more so 70 should be doable. You should be able to hit at least 120-130 with the right gearing if your not then you need to look into other issues like gearing etc.

yes..with the street port

you can change your secondary ratio by using a smaller rear sprocket or bigger front sprocket or else you may change your 4 th gear ratio to either of the two
5th from RX135 5 speed- 0.913 (21/23) or 4th from G5:0.875 (21 / 24)
