Saying it once again - UNI ROCKS !!!

Post by nav75 »

Finally on Thu fitted Chinoy Filter on my fiero. Was a bit difficult as compared to Bullet and CBZ as in Fiero I have to remove the complete air box.

Got the bike to run perfectly yesterday and since then, man what a rush (ok ok guys don't pounce me on this :P ).

Same uphill stretch I used to do around 90-95 and it used to take time to reach there. If I get some traffic then 90 was the max else I could manage to hit 95. Yesterday and Today even with traffic slowing my acceleration I was able to touch slightly over 95, which came preety quickly. Bike is revving great in all the gears. 60-80 in 3rd comes preety quick.

All in all, with no change to the carb just putting the filter bike has shown noticeable improvements.

Thanks Ron for introducing us to this wonderful thing called "Chinoy Filter".

Sorry Ron about the goof up with the name.

Just to eliminate the psychological thing. Asked a collegue owning a Fiero to ride the bike. Well he says the pull is surely increased. Can't wait for the weekend now

use the Solex Fiat main jet
Wouldn't it be more advisable to get them as blanks and then get them drilled by Ron?

@gravity - I think Rash meant the main jet of the carb from a Fiat car.
If God brings me to it, he will get me through it
