Confused Soul here
Hey people, howz it going?
Regsitered on the forum yesterday and been hanging around and checking out the different sections and i must say that you guys are doing a great job. Heard about RDDreams.com from similar forums long back, wonder why didnt i register then.
Its been a year and i've been confused whether i like cars more or the bikes. Have been more a car person , started driving when i was i think 12-13. Have been fascinated by superbikes since when i was 16, but somehow the knowledge seemed to have been limited to mainly the blackbird and the funduro 650 till a little more than a year back when i joined www.teambhp.com ( a similar forum that quite a few of you guys must be aware of ).
I was an Actuarial Science student till a few months back till i was obligated to join the family business, now moving to something slightly better than "boring stuff" . . .
Dream car has always been the Mclarenf1, Countach stays a close childhood love, Toyota Celica looks more like a realisable dream. Coming to the bikes its gotta be a 98/99 kawasaki 9r (a certain piece made me smile all weekend which made it take the honda blackbird's spot), new Kawasaki ZX 14 seems extremely interesting though.
Used to ride a rxg-135 when i was 16 which was more of an office bike that used be home very often, was rarely used actualiee till i started riding it a bit and crashed it more than a couple of times, once almost a total loss.
Came close to buying a big bike a couple of times but unfortunately things didnt go my way, but plan to get one sometime for sure.
My current ride is a 2001 Honda City 1.5, bone stock except for the 15 inch wheels its shod with, other rides are a Mahindra Scorpio and a Ford Ikon. I know i'm not half as much as a biker as most of you guys but there isn't anything better than joining a forum full of motorheads.
Guess i've said enough now, see you guys at the threads . . .

Some men have thousands of reasons why they cannot do it, what they need is one reason why they can.

RE: Re: RE: Confused Soul here
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
@madmax and nav75: i'm from bombay/mumbai.
Crazydiablo i'm running 195/55 goodyear nct 5 rubber, 55 profile as i was guessing staying higher than 50 (the most common with 15 inchers) would improve my ride quality slightly.
*beep* : why can't i recall a reply from you? ( i remember pm'in you though)
Guys actuarial science is based on some heavy duty statistics. Actuaries by collecting shitloads of data design products for insurance and investement companies. Ever wondered why you paid more premium for life insurance tahn your non-smoker friend, or why did monthly deposits of 500 p.m. for 5 years mature to 42,000, time value of money and the deals . . . Applications of Actuarial Science are more or less infinite as its got tons to do with forecasting, which is a firm part of each and every industry.
Crazydiablo forget the women the profession gives you enough money that you could own 1000 cc each from all the four japanese manafacturers and yet have enough change for a comet and live a luxurious life once you're a fully qualified actuary with a few years of work experience. Getting qualified sometimes could take a few decades though.
Majority of the Indian Actuaries (a lill less than 200) and actuarial students happen to be soth indian thanks to their superb foundation in stats/math. Too bad i had to give it a break.
But either ways women tend to think you're a genius if you're studying actuarial science cos' most of them think its something to do with rocket science, lol.
Anyways i guess thats enough information about the subject, incase you guys wanna know more than log on to www.soa.org
manson.
p.s. is mild slang tolerated around here?
