Building a rz/banshee powered project street bike. Would like to know if your system is what I want. It appears your system replaces about everything (which I want)... but what is the cost and what are the options for it?

I think your mixing up our CDI kit for the RD350 air cooled with the new CDI kit for RZ350/Banshee.

The RD orignally came with Points and a crappy electrical system. Well even if not crappy ancient so we had to make a kit to replace pretty much everything.

Where as with the new RZ/SHee CDI these bikes allready have a good multipole strator/rotor.
But the CDI part is the weak link. THey suffer from an outdated Ignition curve. Basiclly designed by Yamaha to prevent the bike from reving past 10,000 RPM or should I say making power.
The RZ/SHee curve was ok for 1984 not 2005.

SO we designed what I belive is the first Digital CDI for the RZ.
I know shee kits are floating arround but nothing for the RZ.

I can openlly challange any shee CDI maker that we will have a better spark.
Other than a better spark.
We offer you total control over the Ignition timing in 500 RPM steps. So you no longer need to make a compromised with a 4 deg key. You can set any timing from 0 to 34 Deg BTDC for any RPM.
Plus you have other intresting stuff like 2 stage rev limiter, Totally programebale Shift light.
Plus the option of runing two seprate HT coils.
The price will be steep. As the kit comes with a hand held programer that you can hook up to the CDI and reprograme the CDI track side.
What you get with the RZ/SHee CDI is the CDI black box and hand held controler.
We are still refining the system based on feedback from MK in Germany.
Hopefully this week we will release a new version of the CDI for MK to test.

From testing I feel it really changes the nature of the bike. With the stock CDI the bike feels kinda weak below 6000 RPM. With the CDI it allmost feels like there are two power bands. One that comes on at 2000 RPM and the other when the PV opens.

We are also looking at an option where a club buys one full kit and there after only the CDI.
With exposed chip. You can then basiclly just take your chip over to the guy with the programer and re-programe it.

We are also thinking of seprating the ferite option from the main CDI i.e. you can opt to run the CDI with only the juice from the source coils which we have doubled the output from. Or you can buy it with the ferite option and this takes 12 Volts from the bat converts it to 400 volts a/c and boosts spark strength.

Im not willing to go into details but if somebody technical challanges us and we are sure they wont use our ideas in a product we will share info like how we are using the existing source coils yet doubling their existing putput. Its a costlly affir and this one function alone drives up price by over 24$. But once you ride a bike with this CDI you wont want to revert.

This is not some 2$ key. Nor is it some hack into your existing CDI.
Its a state of the art digital Ignition designed from the ground up using state of the art IGBTs. SCRs. and procesors.
Id like to say we can offer it cheap but its taken 6 months of day and night work refining and a lot of time and resources. And I dobt an item like an RZ CDI will ever sell in numbers.
To allow us economies of scale.
