Hi All
I am Jai Ganesh (Jai) from Chennai (settled because of Job in chennai for last 15 years). I was more of a Bullet guy, own couple of Machismo 500 and 350 Cast irons.
Have done many rides all across India and to Burma, Nepal and Bhutan. Regular attender of NERM and RM. All rides were in Bullet.
Regarding two stroke i own Yezdi twin, Jawa 250, KB 100/125, RX 100/135-4sp/135-5sp and RD.
I use my RX 135 - 5 speed a lot in my home town (mountains) and back in chennai for all local commute. I was a great 2 stroke fan in the past. Reason being that i failed couple of times in my RD build and RX. Lost lots of money and my none of my 2 stroke bikes never moved. Lost interest and moved ahead to bullet. Am not blaming any mech, its that i had no clue of whats being built and how it has to be build. It was my fault trying to build 2 strokes without any knowledge.
Off late my urge to get back to my old taste - 2 stroke became strong.
It got more fueled when one of RDD member in Hyderabad did Leh in his RD last year. Happen to spend some time with him in Chennai as he stayed with our bullet gang. Am in process of building one newly bought RD. My plan is to travel in future trips to North East in RD and planning to do Spiti Valley in RD.
I am going through RDD forums to gain more knowledge on technical things. Thanks for all the guys who has put tons of knowledge and special thanks to Ron and the site care taker.
My on build of RD is more of a reliable one for a long ride than which makes more speed on roads. I have requested to build it for 2 tank full of rides non stop which will be around somewhere 400 to 500 kms cruising around 90 to 140 max / hr. I did own a Ninja 650 and have cruised on 200+. But after these many rides i would prefer to be on 100 to 120 km/hr which is more safe on Indian roads - my personal opinion. I have told all of my riding style and taste to MY MAN and i strongly rely on his vast experience and knowledge in building a solid bullet proof engine.
There are couple of them who helped me to know things better, for which i will thanks and post later with my ride reports after my RD is built.
That's all about me. Thanks for reading and please do ignore if i post some silly questions. After all am just starting to learn from scratch in 2 stroke.
Regards
Jai
