On Cloud 9!!!

Post by sameera »

Hi,

Well I have no words to explain how pleased I’m feeling having got the RDD RX CDI installed on my RX 5 speed. I can sense a great amount of difference from my previous set-up where I was running a stock CDI – no overheating issues, super torque especially at low-end and increased mileage
Got it installed a couple of days back, I have no RPM metre installed on my bike so could check the readings only on the speedo. I could manage touching 80 km on 3rd gear with the stock set-up, to tell you, with the RDD CDI, I was inching close to 90 km on 3rd gear with bike completely in stock set-up, except the CDI and without advance timing too.
Hats off to Ron for making such an amazing product, thanks a ton to Shuvo and Teji in helping me with the installation.
Remarkable Product! =D>

Checked the plug this evening. Found close-to-white colour at the tip. Suspected that bike's running lean, was not that sure of this because I cant see the bike faltering at any point of time, it was never this smooth.
Thanks to timely advice from Shuvo, revved the bike on 1st gear, opened the throttle on 2nd and pulled the choke holding the accelarator - bike was not going fine, sounded bhud..bhud.. which meant its not running that lean. Consulted my mechanic, said its fine and shouldn't be an issue.

This looks alright. But nonetheless try a notch below and see the difference. If you feel that is 4-strokes or rich then drop to the already existing level.

Cheers :)

With the clip at bottom-most position the bike was doing fine but not this well with the clip at mid-position. Also when I had checked the colour of the plug with the clip at bottom-most position, it was somewhat dark brown. It's running fine now with the current set-up.

Well, I was running bunk crap before. I had just filled in 93 Octane and motul on the same day this pic was taken. Had ridden some 5-6 km with Motul before this pic was taken.
