orgasmic - the feel of RD Dreams Digital CDI

Post by rowdyrai »

this is my first time on rd dreams ...but guys believe me ....i am sold hook line and sinker to the digital CDI made by chinoy. i would once again take this opportunity to thank Chinoy.

CHINOY - Thanks a lot, a tonne

now let me explain....

i bought my 1984 rd 350 through ebay in september 05 from a guy in delhi.....i was so mad about it that i rode it on a single cylinder from delhi to jaipur. thankfully the 350 odd kilometres were covered without any major incident except that i was beaten by a roadways bus.

i was running the rd in jaipur for about a 4 months when i shifted to bangalore in january.

i shifted by bike in may and got stuck with a mechanic in malleswaram 16th cross (u know who), to whom i had given by bike for service, being nearest to railway station. the very next day it turned out one of the pistons om bike had siezed and that my bike would require a engine job.

so i got my bike back after a few weeks in june sounding and running like a jalopy(as chinoy calls it ....Shit) ...which i ran since then till yesterday......

well yesterday ....16th december i would take it as it's new birthday because it got a new heart.....THE RD DREAMS DIGITAL CDI....

thanks chinoy, adu bhai,anish

and man life is not the same anymore.. i have ridden it for about 50 kms since yesterday......and as it goes above 80kmph ....90kmph....100kmph ...it keeps asking for more...more n more.....amazing .......orgasmic is the word to describe it i guess.

now it's like i am searching for some open roads to find out the TOP speed of this baby....

any suggestions guys ??

so my suggestion to every newcomer on this forum .....do your rd a favour ......get her a RD dreams digital CDI.......then try anything else because after that may be you won't require any thing else to be done to her.

Hi first off thanks for the Kind words.
Im sure your complete RD ownership experience has changed for the better.
Its sad what happend with your bike. Got coned in Delhi. Got coned in Bangalore.

I think Ill fill in the story.
You called. Saying arrived new in Bangalore. Thinking of taking your bike to Mr. Snake Eyes.
You where warned not to take your bike there.
You said Im only taking it for a service.
You took it in for a service.
You droped off your bike for a service
And the next morning when you got there you where told your engine was sized.
You tried explaining that the bike was running fine and you where using it all this time.
But the damage was done.

Latter in the story. CCR spots you at night fiddling with your bike by the side of the road and pulls up to help you.
You have a hand full of fuses you keep changing the fuse and it keeps blowing.
CCR says you should just dump the crappy points and electrical system and get the chinoy Kit.
You tell him that you had discussed it with your Mech and had been warned that chinoy is a cheat and to stay far away from him.
To which CCR said no way man Im running the kit. Senthil is running the kit and we have had no issues.
Call Chinoy.

Thats when you called me. And ordered the kit.
When you came to hand over the cheque. I rode the bike and told you that it was in a shit condition.

First you need to do is take the bike to Adu and ask him to re-set your clutch bell.
That will solve the noise issue.

In the complete story what pissed me off the most is that the competition is so scared of my kit. That they are resorting to calling me a cheat and con artist.

And oh a few days after your story. Mearun came on board with a similar story.
sadly in his case he got coned into paying 12K for a CDI kit.
At least you where saved that experience.
Enjoy the bike. And avoid going back to that place.
Revmachine call me.

Ps: Before you take her to the ring road or six lane for high speed testing do a plug chop to make sure your jeting is correct and your not too lean.
What filter setup are you runing K&N right ?
So did you upjet when you replaced the filter ?
Did the guy who sold you the filter recomend anything jet wise ?

Adu will install the jets you give him.
He will not jet the bike for you.

K&N is a stupid filter. I dont give out Jeting recomendations for it.
If you want to see another jump in the way the bike runs.
Buy a pair of Chinoy Filters. They come with the right sized jets.

I never understood what is meant by "Charging" an air filter... sounds really stupid.. and really cheesy..

Take the advice on Chinoy Filter (chinoy) filters and the jets from him... and may be you have multiple orgasms :)
The advice to ‘be yourself’ is obviously nonsense.
But our brains accept this tripe as wisdom, because it is more comfortable
to believe that we have a strategy for life than to believe we have no idea how to behave.
