Q: Why cant I taste my flavors. What is vapers tounge.

E-Cigs have been around now since 2008. There are 100s if not thousands of e-cig forums. There are millions of e-cig users. Yet I find it strange that nobody has answers to common problems. And issues. Im going to post my thoughts on the subject with a date to record it and then see how fast it spreads. Lets see if this place becomes the mother source for all Knowledge related to e-cig.
The topic for today Vapors Tongue.
This is when you can no longer taste your e-cig flavors. I spent hundreds of man hours looking for answers and could find none.
The only advice you get is that it will pass and after a few days you will get your taste back.
Now lets get the Baba Low down.
You get it because both PG and VG are oily substances. So your tongue and all the sensory receptors in your nose and mouth get coated with a thick layer of oil. This prevents your taste receptors and smell receptors from working.
Cleaning out your taste receptors is simple.
Based on weather your juice is acidic or alkaline in nature you pick one of these two. And just slosh it about in your mouth. The two I use are Soda. Yes regular soda water. The other item I use is diluted vinegar. This will cut thru the oil on your tongue better than even brushing your tongue with tooth paste.
If your a person who drinks you can even try Vodka. No need to swallow slosh and spit it out. This will clean your tongue. By cutting thru the oil build up.
Now as to the smell receptors that is a little more complicated. If your a Yoga expert you can pour warm water into one nostril and take it out the other. If your not just try to wash your nose with warm water.
The only time these two methods will not work is if you have a cold then the mucus coats stuff and its hard to cut thru. The other time is if you have a tummy upset.

Other things that prevent indians from getting this is
a. We eat a lot of hot spicy food this cuts thru the oil. And cleans it.
b. We drink a lot of hot beverages like Tea. This also melts and washes the coating off our tongue.

This problem is only there for guys who smoke a lot.

Can we cut nicotine from any e liquid completely? if yes, then please share the method as I have some nicotine fused e liquids but I want these in 0 mg.

Good question I will look into it.
They say heating the liquid and exposing it to sun light will cut nic. But I dont think it removes it totally.
i.e 18MG may become 16 MG. It wont vanish.

It seems i get the Vapors Tongue regularly. Will try the soda & vinegar method since i don't drink any hot beverages.

I suffered a lot when I was on the China Juice. No so much since I smoke my own stuff now. It may be that the layer formed by PG is thicker and harder to clear. Where as the layer formed by high quality VG is easier to clear / gets absorbed by the body faster.
It may also have to do with the quality of VG and PG.
Very high quality stuff is absorbed by the body leaving behind nothing. Lower grades leave behind stuff.
People who suffer from this should mention what juice they smoke PG or VG and what type of VG natural or Synth.

Ps: Nothing works as well as hot beverages. The heat cuts the oil build up much better. You should give it a shot. I drink at least 10 cups of hot tea thru the day. Helps a lot. Im going to try hot water gargling

Q: Why are the American Flavors so mild and the Indian Flavors so strong.

Ans: Most of the USA flavors and china flavors where all designed for PG e-juice. They expect you to mix it with 100% PG. When you try mixing it with VG they dont work out as planed. Because VG has such a strong sweet taste by it self. The more pure the VG the stronger and sweater the taste.
The Indian Flavors on the other hand we are making from scratch from molecule level. So we are designing them to work with VG from the get go. Not all flavors can be made to work. With VG but we have total control over everything. As we are making the flavors. With the USA and china flavors we have zero control. We cant boost a note. Or change things much. At best we can add some tweak from our Indian Flavors.

Second reason. Indian flavors not shortage of supply. Imported flavors big drama to import, cost off shiping cost of flavors etc.
I have also found that with Foreign flavors if you use a higher dose the taste goes down. With Indian Flavors you add more the flavor goes up. I haven't understood how or why yet.

What is the best way to test flavors.
I have already stated that the best tank in my book is the Pro Tank 2.
But the best base is the Aero Tank.
Baba Vapes is selling the Aero Tank Base for the Min and the large. This will convert your Pro Tanks into what is in effect an aero tank.

The first step is to build your pro tank 2 right. How do I judge I have it right ?.
If I can vape at 15 watts (Max power). And not get a burnt taste I know I have it right.
For this I normally build with 28 Gauge at 7 wraps. We then pass a 2mm silica thru this.
On top of this we place what is called the flavor wick.

Fill the tank and vape.

When you want to change flavors. You wash the coil and tank in warm water / vodka / warm water no soap.
You then take off the flavor wick which is sitting on top of the coil and do a dry burn.

After the dry burn you put a new flavor wick on top of the coil. Push the chimeny back down on it.
Do not use the rubber washer as it restricts flow into the coil.

This is the best way to test a flavor. Using one of the kanger tech tanks.

I know people says dripper is good to test flavors. Not really you get really crappy flavor.

Another tip to get the best flavor is dont smoke more than 10 Mg of Nic. Anything more than 10 MG and your going to screw up the flavor by the taste of Nicotine yes nictone does have a taste.

Today on this date 30/10/2014 I announce that the bigest badest secret of the e-cig world is that PG is a nasty nasty thing. And there is no way in hell you should vape it.

As a starting point stop vaping all China Juices which are mostly 100% PG.
Next do not use a juice unless the vendor is willing to give you some info on the PG/VG ratio.

If you want flavor your going to need some PG at least for now. Though I am working on juices which will be made with zero PG flavors. Its going to take some time.

I pat myself on my back of figuring this out really fast. And for offering the lowest possible PG juices in the country or the world.

Q: What is the cheapest option to buying hardware.
Ans: Find out who makes it. Find them on Aliexpress and place the order direct with China.

I cant explain this but Im sure others will see for themselves.

Stuff imported from USA is better quality than stuff imported from China.
Yes I know its all made in China.

If you see two prices. One is 24 and the other is 42. And the packing looks the same. Its normally the case that the 42$ part is better quality.

I have no idea why. But this is what I have observed. We will mention for any hardware where its sourced from.
The problem is there are clones of clones being made in China. And quality is not always the same between copies.

Please recommend a small mod for me.

Ans: Chk out the eleaf. But the fact that you cant change the bat sucks.
I prefer this new one. WHich is similar in size and allows you to change the bat.

Q: Whats the best Ohms coil to use.
Ans: I find this the most absurd thing to obsess about. When people say I want only 1.8 Ohm coil. Or only 1.5 Ohm coil. The Ohms hardly matter. What ever Ohms you buy the coil is going to work the same.
Now if your talking about going from 2.2 to under 1 Ohm. Ok it matters but 1.5, 1.8, 2 they all work the same. It hardly matters. High ohm coils consume less bat. Lower Ohm coils consume more.

Q: How do I add alkaloids to my own juice.
Ans: You can buy a pack of cigarettes. Or tobacco. And soak it in your e-juice. The flavor and the alkaloids will transfer into your juice. Squeeze out the tobacco and vape the juice. Another option is to buy Tobacco Absolute from somebody and add that to your juice.

Q: As on Dec first week what is the best mod to get Im thinking of getting a MVP.

Ans: If you cant change out the bat Id rather not own it. Keeping that in mind I would recommend any of the following.

1. Dual Bat. the Vapor falsk with dual 18650 is a life time mod.
2. After that check out the Zero Modz Clone and"
3. THe ZNA Robotto Clone.

Q: What is Sun Charging ?
Ans: Its one of the many Jokes we came up with about preparing e-juice.

Saw the ZNA clone on focalecig. Has anyone bought from there - is it trustworthy?

Some have worked some have not. Its such a hit and miss that I have opted not to get it.
If you do get it try and get the one by Robotto. It suffers from the same problem. A little juice leaks everything goes south from the display to the button.

With a single 18650 20 watts does not last even 1/2 day. So not sure what these people are thinking taking out mods in 30 and 50 watts with a single bat. Anything other than a VTC5 don't even waste your time.
Even with orignal VTC5 my 20 watt sigeli would last max 2 hours in the day.
If your buying to show off or because you like the design and not to really use then go for it.
Im getting the Vapour Flask with support for dual 18650 bats.
And then there is 26650 mods. Once you exp a 7200 Mah 26650 mod you will not touch anything else.

Q: Whats the deal with so many people making the same Mod. i.e. Hammer Mod. 8 vendors.
Ans: You need to spend some time understanding how business works in the USA and India.
First some company outside China makes a mod. This is called the Authentic Mod. Or the original design.
These are costly. Because they are a new design. And made in limited qty.
Once the mod gets popular. Every single guy with a CNC machin in China and there are thousands wants to copy it.
Everybody wants to supply to the USA. That is the ultimate goal. To earn an export order to the US. And get paid in USD.
So you will have 10-20 guys all making copies of the same mod.
Over time they get a reputation for doing good work or bad work.
The best of the best or the highest quality stuff gets exported to the US.
What happens to the rest. What happens to the thousands of guys who have made all these tanks / mods but never got the export order ?. These are sold direct form China.
They get rated based on their quality. The best of what is left gets the highest price and then you go down the scale to the utter crap.
This is how pretty much every business works. In India and China.
The best of the best is set aside for sale to US / Export. The great american dollar gets first choice. The rest which does not make the cut is just dumped on the market. Be it tobacco leaves, RD350 automotive parts. Or E-cig gear. Its the same story.
Hope this helps you understand why so many different companies are all making the same mod. It may look the same in the pictures. The metal used may be the same. But there are small differences.

Note how the latest tanks and mods land up in the USA first. Be it Kanger Tech Tanks. Or Hammer Mods. First US market gets it. Shortly after the rest of the world gets it. There are a few exceptions. But I suspect even these companies are selling their seconds to the rest of the world.

As a re-seller its better to just charge more and have less complaints from customers. Than get the cheapest deal and charge less and deal with all the complaints.

Indeed, i have seen that stuff i have imported from US ( manufactured in China ) are pretty good in quality.
