up and running

Post by tag-em »

finally my Digital CDI kit is installed on my 1975, RD 350 B, WOW !

chinoy, the increased torque on the lower RPM's was phenominal !, pulled a couple unintentional wheelies just playing, when the bike was first run.
top RPM power was pretty much the same, but the engine run much smoother thru out the entire power band.

Good job on designing the timing curve.

just to show you how much fun the RD was with the CDI ignition, all the mechinics at the bike shop were lining up to ride it, and when they did, big smiles for everyone. who says 30 year old 2 strokes still can't thrill in today's liter+ riding crowd ?

I gave the mech"s the RD dreams web site (a couple of guys drag race 2 strokes ) hopefully you have recieved some inquires about the CDI ignition and it's compatibility with Kawasaki 2 stroke triples.

now over the winter, I have to get the cosmetics on the RD up to par (right now it looks like a rat bike). so I'll be ordering up some more parts soon and will send a couple of photos out in the spring when the bike is done.

End of the day dealing with suport issues. Packages that dont reach. Grumpy customers, endless bills and loan repayments.
Its happy customers like you that make it all seem worth while.

What can I say another convert on the Variable vs Static timing issue. :P

Have ridden my 1977 rd400 about 1,500 miles since installing the digital cdi ..Man it's the STUFF. Starts easier, brighter lights, even seems to idle better!! The low end performance is MUCH improved and from 6K to 10K it is a pure monster. Am w-a-y impressed with the upper rpm range. I actually have to be watchful so that I don't over-rev the thing when doing HARD accelerations. Gotta be the best performance mod ever for the RD !! I commend you Sir Ron on a job extremely well done!!

Thanks Brother pakrat for the kind words.
Scream it from the Mountains Brother.
Testify Brother.

Makes all the bloddy knuckels and greasey hands worthwhile.

We are working arround the clock in an effort to keep improving the kit in any and every way possible even with all the limitations we face trying to get anything done in this stupid country.
