Ok the good part first..... the "mild" porting job has transformed her manners, is a proper "shoulder-dislocator" now, like an RD should be.

The sad part: Didn't get too big a ride to try out the real depth of her capabilities because the carbs are acting up again left cylinder idles faster after the engine warms up and the right one is leaking like a street-dog with chronic diahorrea. Hoping to get them fixed tomorrow.

The best part: Inspite of all this shit with the carbs, the fuel consumption is surprisingly wallet-friendly. Am getting 26 kmpl. Ok will say that again..... 26 kilometers to the litre. Didn't believe it at first, thought I had refuelled it sometime in between and forgotten about it, but nope. This is spooking me out. Is it normal for RDD CDI bikes? Time to get rid of the KB-100 methinks

Ok some notes:
Finally had a chance to open her up on the way to work today..... low end torque is cleaner, though, by and large, unchanged. The mid-range is stronger after 2500 rpm, but the best part is that she seems to just slip away from me as the RPM's rise beyond 5000. It is like Ron has inverted the power-band upside down :D:D:D:D and it is SHIT SCARY. I saw an indicated 130 on the speedo before I ran out of road. On the same stretch, I could earlier only go upto 100 until the end of the road came. The best part is, it pulls just as hard after 5K, EVEN IN SIXTH. This transalates into a monster top-speed..... (will post the exact figure if and when I come up with the balls to push the bitch that hard).

Other observations:
Engine remains crisp and throbby even after hard (by my standards) thrashing.
Almost ZERO smoke. Had it not been for the low temps on the fins (it passes CCR's 4-second test), I'd be shitting bricks and thinking that I am so frigging close to holing a piston.
Fuel efficiency is 28+. Will arrive at the exact figure when it gets into reserve.

That is very modest of you, Ron. I frankly don't know of any stock LT's that pull that hard on the OTHER side of 5000 rpm or give 28+ kmpl fuel-efficiency or record a CO emissions figure of 0.81.

BTW what where your polution and mileage Figure pre RDD.

Mileage was between 12 and 17 kmpl (after the jets and Chinoy Filter's were installed but BEFORE the CDI and port clean-up).

Pollution figures back then were:
Hydrocarbons: 1237
CO: 2.48

The first image is the "After" and the second image is the "Before"..... I was wrong about the present CO emissions figure being 0.81. It is actually 0.45. All 4 figures are for one silencer only (dumbass PUC guys ) so to get a more accurate figure, you have to double the figures.
