58.2 kms to the litre...Holy Sh*t!!!
58.2 kms to the litre...Holy Sh*t!!!
Well my RX135 4 speed is a regular commuter for me. And having resigned my job to continue studies, I need a pretty good mileage that suits my pocket right now.
My RX has done 2600 kms till now. I ran her in very very properly and still ride her with a feather-touch throttle hand. Don't even take her above 60 km/hr. Dan knows how I baby her around all the time.
In the beginning, I used to get something like 42 kmpl, which at around the 2000 km mark, increased to 50 kmpl. Got the 2nd service done a week back. Right now, she is delivering 58 km/litre.
My secrets to good mileage?
-Have been using Speed & Yamalube only from day one, that too fulltank to fulltank.
-Always ride with a feather-touch on the throttle.
-Clean spark-plug and airfilter every 1000 km.
Oops, almost forgot the biggest weapon in the armour!!! Got the RDD digital CDI fitted around the 1700 kms mark. If my bike, inspite of running a non-cat pipe with a freer-flowing RX100 muffler delivers mileage of such a high-order on a regular basis, I think even the suckers like me who cry for mileage should get one of these babies - the RDD CDI! Additional advantages, she pulls cleanly in every gear, even in rush-hour traffic.
Why do people ride Splendors and Boxers when they can have their cake and eat it too?
Ron, you are good man!

Anybody wanting to verify Max's claim can call him on Ph: 9846146631
And Im sure he would be willing to prove it.
Likewise for any claim made on this forum.
Is there such a verification system for the other claim ?.
How can I reach this guy to verify.

By the way, I forgot to add an important point. I am not running lean or on any mileage setting. I am still in the comparitively rich, run-in mode.
Some men have thousands of reasons why they cannot do it, what they need is one reason why they can.

Are you riding the bike downhill only Are you using your feet to pedell the bike.
Are you switching off the engine and coasting every 2 minutes.
Are you runing in "Ideal Operating conditions"
Are you geting somebody to push the bike while you sit on it.

Looks like you can sell allmost anything with a good web site these days.
Well Im glad to see a huge change in atitude and tone.
Its gone from this invention will save the world to. This invention works on old and outdated engines where MSV was poor.
Its make a whole lot more sence now. i.e. old engines (Pre 1950s design) Amby, Bullet, Java can benefit from this (Yes I know Javas are a little after 50s design).
Anything more modern i.e. made after the 70s. They had allready figured out MSV. And your unlikelly to see much improvements.
Ive made quite a few extencive posts on the subjects and MSV when this topic was first discused.
Id encourage members to send in their heads and give it a shot. And report back on the findings.
Dont waste the guys time with silly phone calls.
If your serious.
Call him. Ask how much. Send the funds and head.

RE: Re: somender-singh
hmmm very interesting.
I would like to add what i noticed on my bike, never reported it before because i thought how could it happen and didnt want people to laugh at me.
I had intially installed the CDI II last december on my RXG and boy the bike really moved, but i never had a working odometer and never bothered. Till recently when during the last track day i installed a new odometer and also had my bike ported by a local mech near lal bagh.
I noticed that whenever i rode the bike without entering into the power band and riding without any sudden accelerations and with put pushing the bike keeping below 80 kms i get a mileage of around 40 kmpl with is fantastic.
when i do ride hard it gives me a mileage of around 28 kmpl, which is really good, i know the CDI definetly improves power but this is suprizing and looks like i am not the only one am i running lean???

The mystrey of what a RDD CDI was doing at a Lalbhag Mechanics workshop at least has been solved LOL
No your not runing lean. Your just buringing all the gas you throw into the engine vs a crappy partical burn where most of the gas goes out the exhaust poluting the athmosphere.
Yes you can have your cake and eat it too with the RDD CDI
