A machine that scares you: Built by Ron!!

Post by dharmaracer »

If i was to have ever have been a astrologer i wouldnt have ever been able to predict that a machine can be built to run like what mine did.

This beast that Ron built for me for nothing short of scary...From the sound it made to the front wheel lifting off the ground coming out of a turn..it was an experience i will never forget...

I have to break a 100 coconuts at the nearest temple for not having gotten myself killed on this beast...

Power kicks in at 8000rpm and it revs till 13000rpm. I was lucky to ride this and i know for sure there is lot more left to ride on this machine. Getting used to the power was tricky and keeping the front end down was harder. And this Ron calls as still tame...

In my mind he is in the top of league in terms of tuners. I couldnt fathom 1/3rd of what he says or does but there is way too much in head for just one track day.

I ridden the pants off R1's, CBR's and Ducs at the track but nothing has come close to the feeling of death of this machine did..

1. Thank you sir you're too kind. It was a joint effort. I only did the Engine and pipes. Also bike is still only at half its potential.

2. It is your extensive track racing experience, coolheadness and riding skills that promted me to build such a machine for you.
Would never consider giving something like this to an in-experienced rider they would just kill themselves. Considering you are going from a well mannered FZR to a highly strung two stroke. you did execptionally well in the few laps you could get in. Cant wait to see it moving once you and the machine become one.

3. A special thanks to my Seniors & tuner friends . Vanik, Dobey, smokie you guys inspire me with your knowledge, tuning skills and humility. I would be nothing with out you.

4. My target is faster than the factory bikes. Till we do that I will not rest or be happy. We are so close I can allmost smell it.

Will probably be doing a blog on the first track Bike built by RDD and will post it for site contributors after you ok the contents.

Well those with the genuine coments. Thank you.
For those being scarstic if there are any. Sorry next time she will be way way faster.
This time was run in and setup. Day one stuck with a RD350 Ananlogue CDI timing stuck at 31 Deg. Day two some unknown timing and Ajits street CDI. Jeting was so off she was splutering thru the corners. But you cant have a tight new bore and piston and run her lean and mean. Too many compromises. For me it was let the owner get in at least a few laps. Next time we come preped to the track. And hopefully my rider will see the improtance of having everything dialed in ahead of time. The plan was to hit the track 6am sat and run in the bike. But we hit Combi 4am. Sat.

Wait till we get a faring on her, with a properlly run in engine correct jeting and timing and we will show you guys fast. Im just happy cause if she ran this good in this state. Its only gona get better with time.

chief youll have to do what Anand did which is basiclly move into my basement till the bike was started. No CDI kit business no excuses. Im here lets get this bike runign. The chambers where doone in 2 days an all time record for RDD. Ofcourse Anand had to play psycoanalyst with the welder  but it worked in the end.

Hope you shall be kind and considerate, and let me know when I can come down to B'lore and hand over my RD to you. One thing is for sure... You have taught me how to be patient and I am happy about that :)
