UNI feedback

Post by nav75 »

Its being said million times already but would like to say it again, "Chinoy Filter ROCKS" :acclaim:

Yesterday coudn't do much of wrenching on the rx, reached home by lunch, wife was shocked and wondering if I'm not feeling well but when she saw me picking up bike keys, selecting tools and picking up Chinoy Filter, she realised I'm perfectly fine

It was pending for quiet sometime, so with some time at my hand decided to check out Chinoy Filter on my bullet. I was running 95 main jet (stock is 90) and bike was running a lil bit rich and not pulling over 100 and given long stretch was going till 105. So I just removed the stock air filter and fixed Chinoy Filter. Went out on a spin and  bike was revving like mad. Very soon I managed to hit 100 on speedo and later realised that I'm still in 3rd (prev max in 3rd was 85)

Rode for a couple of km's and came back, check the plug, it was "lean". So put in 100 main. This time I went on to the highway as roads near my house were not very smooth. On the highway, I was not able to go above 105 recently but phew, I was doing almost that in 3rd and that too in less than 500m, shifted to 4th and bike kept on moving. Uphills were taken at 100 and on plain I managed to do 125 on speedo, with 75% throttle open. Missed my sigma
Came back home and check the plug, still lean ](*,) Put in the biggest main I have, 105. Took another spin. Still bike is running lean but its flying.

With light fading I decided to pack up for day and watch the A1 and then F1 racing.

In the end I was like YEPIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :ban: :rock_band: \:D/

Next week some more work.

Thanks ron for introducing to this wonderful thing called "Chinoy Filter".

The fastest Bullet 500 at Track day was a white bullet 500 that was indicating 116 Kmph at the end of the 800 Mtr traight. He was runing a 34mm round slide.
It was being rident by some guy who knew how to ride. Ive never seen a bullet pushed arround a track like that. That guy could ride man.

I think we should be able to get the bullets upto at least 130. If a decent air filter alone is giving you guys such a rush. Imagine what would happen with a decnet pipe, a good CDI curve and some head mods.

You should see Vistasp sometime. Much as I hate to admit it, I have never seen a bullet being ridden like that either.

It was a modded 535 and the rider's name is Sachin - he's from Pune, works with Royal Enfield. Would really like to know what were the best lap times posted by him and Rohan (the other Bullet rider - dont know what he was riding, as he didnt take his hunderbird from Pune).

Cheers, Doc

oh sorry if i wasn't clear. the speeds were on the speedo with speedo errors. plus even if i say that the road was plain it was not completely plain, had lil bit of slope/climb, unlike track where the surface will be plain.

regarding the white bullet, its a moded 500 owned by sachin chawan of RE who is also a member of the pune bullet club.

Sure, we will ride but I'll pick my bike depending on what type of ride it will be (not that I have a option). If its a ride where we will be ripping and racing against each other then I'll have to get a diff bike then if the ride happens to be a nice fast ride with frnds going to near by town for a cup of tea.

The track straight slopes downwards intro turn 1 its not a level surface.
His lap times would be impresive. But we arent releasing any lap times yet.
Its a personal issue. If somebody wants to post their times they can.
But I wont be doing it.

There where no outstanding timings. But this being first or second track days. Everybody was droping their times. And geting faster and faster. And there seems to be a lot of untaped talent in the club. One thing is for sure RDD Club members can ride quite well. And when the club racing scene catches on our guys will be way above the other clubs.

Ps: Ive timed Adriens Bullet which is a 350 at faster speeds.
