Thanks Vampire, Senthil, Crazydiablo for the welcoming remarks.
I need some advice. I have a chance to pick up a 1985 RD 350 for about 20K. I haven't seen the bike as it is in Delhi and am based in Bombay. From the pictures, it looks quite clean though the innards may be a little shop of horrors. Assuming the worst, what would an complete engine rebuild entail and how much would it cost using standard parts? Are these parts easily available in Delhi where I would like to keep the bike during the rebuild and then ship it to Bombay. Any places reccomended in Delhi for this job? I travel to Delhi quite often and can easily oversee the project but need someone reliable and trustworthy to do the job in my absence.
Cheers

@Dimali, you might want to post these Q's in the RD forum.
First and foremost, clean papers is a must.
Be aware of the fact that the the parts are generally not easy to find.
As for the cost it all depends on how much you are willing to shell out. For performance/imported parts, no doubt the cost are high.
The more money you blow, the better it gets....thats assumung its in good hands....
dont be discouraged....it takes plenty of time more than money to build up a spanking RD...
There are a quite a few owners of RD's in Delhi on this site. they could give you some leads.
Goodluck on this endeavour........
