My Self:
I am Dipesh Shah, 21 years old, doing my Biomedical Engineering from D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering.
My Passion:
I harbor a passion for touring on my motorcycle. I have been an avid rider for more than two years. The feeling of contentment is worth enduring all the adversities of the road.
Love to go to remote places which have clear skies to gawk at stars
My Family:
I am part of All India Bullet Club called "60 kph".
My Beliefs:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Champagne in one and, Strawberries in the other, screaming WOOOO HOOOOO - What a Ride!!!"
U have one life to live, live it to the fullest...have no regrets no disappointments...Try out every thing under the sky...
Each ride is a new experience, u learn a lot abt urself... Every mile u ride, u realise something new abt urself...Life itself is a journey which all of us have to take, so why not enjoy every minute of it... U never know when its going to end.
For me riding is meditation, i fell calm... my mind relishes the pain after the long days ride
My Rides:
My adventure began with short trips to Murud, Mahableshwar, Ganpatiphule, Guhaghar, Dhanu, Daman, Silvassa, Rajmachi, Lonavala, Pune etc.
Then I graduated to longer trips to destinations like Goa to attend Rider mania’04.
In June 2004 I did ride to Ladakh where I rode through interiors of Himachal Pradesh and
Reach the land of Lamas- Ladakh passing through the second highest motor able pass in the world Tanglang La at 17,582 feet.
From Leh I rode southeast to Pangong Tso Lake passing through the Third highest motor able Pass in the World, Chang La at 17,350 feet. From Pangong Tso I rode on inner line routes leading to China On the way also passed Chushul (battle field of 1962 Indo-China war). From there I rode to North west to Zero Road, northern edge of India passing through the highest motor able pass in the world Khardung La at 18,380 feet.
From Zero Road I return back to Leh to bike through Paradise – Kashmir passing through Kargil, Drass (Second coldest permanently inhabited place in the world). From Srinagar I rode down to Jammu and from Jammu went till Amritsar and Wagha Border.
This Ladakh ride was really special, because it was First Successful Expedition on Motorcycle to Marsmik la, which is now the world’s highest pass at 18,640 feet. This pass lies on the IB between India and China hence we had taken special permissions from Border Road Organisation (BRO) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
In December 2004 I did a solo trip to Rajasthan. In this trip I cover all major cities and also many other remote place, which are not on tourist maps. I went till Longewala, the battlefield of 1972 Indo-Pakistan war.
In January 2005, I was part of first motorcycle expedition done by 60 KPH to cross Little Rann of Kutch.
Then in March 2005, I did a ride to Chhatisgarh; here we covered some of most hostile and naxalite prone district of Datewada and Bastar.
My Dreams:
1. Wanne do the ancient Silk route from China to Europe.
2. Want to do Mumbai-london on my bike through Siberia.
3. From there Want to ride to Ethopia and cross Sahara desert.
4. In Jan 2006 Im Planning a Coast 2 Coast ride from Mumbai-kanyakumari-Kolkata...
