HI Guys
Hi Everyone,
I've been a fan of the RD350 since I laid my eyes on it during my childhood.
The tach was something entirely new and that sound of the twins was music to my ears.
Back in the early-mid 80s, in Assam, there was a Yamaha dealer very close to my parents' house. The mechanics used to take out the bikes for a spin after the tune-ups.
The foreman was a neighbour and a gritty handsome Burt Reynolds' moustache kind of guy. He'd take out an RD from the workshop 2-3 times a day and zoom away outside our house.
As a youngster I was hooked and I still am.
I came across this site and thought - WOW! What better place to share my passion!
THe only hitch is - I DON'T have a RD 350 myself, but have been stashing away some cash without my wife knowing about it. I wish to buy one, just to make those childhood dreams come true, if not anything else.
I live in Delhi, presently employed in a media organisation. I have a 2003 Royal Enfield Thunderbird, a 1965 STD 350 which is being restored right now and hope to have a RD 350 soon!
I hope I'll get some tips on buying one and a lot of suggestions on maintaining my dream mobike
Thanks

Welcome dude. One of the best maintained RD's I have ever seen, has a Nagaland registration. So don't lose hope. But with RD's the thing is, the right RD will find you, when you are ready for her, rather than the other way round. So all it takes is some patience, perseverence and faith. All the best, mate.

Thanks for the welcome guys!
"The right RD will find you" - I already like the sound of it.
Ha, ha small world eh?
You and Nav keep making these plans and then at the last minute I'm unable to join you. You know, I'm really superstitious about making plans, so please don't share anythng with me now. We'll talk once the plan is being implemented and take it from there!
Cheers
