cdi feedback
first of all thanx for all those who were at the back of this concept and special thanx to ron(sir)....though mine is a basic cdi...it has lifted the rpm to over 1500 more and the bike has become really peppy in the city traffic...nimble and slippery.. though i had initial hiccups during the installation of the thing cuz i am alien to the bike electronics...but did it somehow(guess the passion)....the only problem though..the chip became loose..is this with all the cdis' with an exposed chip??....anyway this thing andon whole RDD rocks...and i will make a custom!!
SHit you go out on a limb to help customers and it only comes back to bite you in the arse.
With stuff like I sprayed the CDI with watter and the chip came loose. For F-sake just tape the chip or put in a plastic bag.
I dont know if I was a customer Id give my left testical for an exposed chip.
Here are the advantages.
1. Change anything in the bikes setup (Up the comp, add pipes, biger piston anything) And you can have your existing chip reprogramed or buy a new plug in for peanuts.
2. If you ever put he bike on a Dyno. We can chage the curve to fill any holes or flat spots.
3. As our curve and code evolves you can upgrade to the latest version for peanuts.
THe list goes on an on.
But I get feedback like my chip came loose.
Ok no more exposed chips from now just seal it like everybody else.
No more every Kid doing Electronics in collage thinking he can build a copy just cause we left the chip out.
Now about suravs feedback.
1. Im happy you finally got to see the light and the benefits of the the CDI action. Thanks for the feedback.
2. It didnt increase your rev limiter. Your bike is a RX100 with a static curve weak spark and no rev limiter. THe fact that our CDI allows these bikes to rev out more and improves low / mid / high end power is down to the better spark and our efforts with the curve. There is no rev limiter in the picture. In fact your orignal CDI did not have a rev limiter this one does and its set at 13,000 RPM.
All the best on the RXC Ive been informed tuners arround the country have all jumped on the RXC bandwagon and are building them.
