Hey

Post by v1p3r »

Hey guys,

I just signed up, after months of procrastinating. Heard about this site on team-bhp, where I'm a member with the same ID.

I'm not too good with bikes, but passable with cars. Looking to learn more stuff here.

Had the pleasure of learning to ride on a CBZ, and then the orgasmic experience of riding an RD. I've sworn I'll buy one someday, so I guess signing up here is a logical step!

Cheers

Welcome
I think after hanging out here most people get scared to buy a RD

So tell us something about the cars youve worked on. What mods you do and hope you play an active role on the car forum.

Hey

Hope I get that RD before petrol reaches gold prices!

@chinoy...man i'm just startin out! My knowledge, as of now, is all theoretical, and only passable! I'm hopin to take a year off from college to build a Locost sorta roadster. Simple stuff. Basic idea would be massive weight reduction and acceptable p/w ratios, using an Esteem engine. RWD, if I can learn how to configure it, would be a big bonus. This is going to be a one-man project, and hopefully it'll get finished. Actually, hopefully it'll get started!

Cool youve got company here. Guys like Vijay have allready built similar project cars.
I like the PW idea. Im rying to strip weight on my esteem to get it down to arround 900 Kgs.
900 Kgs 150 odd BHP should be fun.

Jeezus. 150 bhp?! I'm guessing that's the turbo Esteem that I saw against Iceman's Baleno in the vid. What sort of times do you clock on the 100 run and the 1/4 mile?

Stock Esteem weight is 875 kgs. With your turbo implant, I'm guessing weight is slightly over 900-920 kgs, right?

Welcome aboard mate. My brother did a similar project with rear wheel drive and custom built chassis with an imported Renault engine and drivetrain. All the best to you and your project.
