RDD Filter Feedback

Post by vivekjayasheel »

Installed the twin Chinoy Filter pods on my RD yesterday. Am VERY HAPPY with the results to say the least :D

Bike breathes much freer and reaches high revs a lot more easily. The difference in performance is like riding with an 80-kg pillion (earlier) changing to NO PILLION (after installing Chinoy Filter).

Throttle sensitivity has increased, the engine braps from idle to 4000 rpm instantly even at the lightest flick of the throttle.

Pickup especially after 4000 rpm has become scary. The bike used to lift the front wheel only in first gear earlier and ONLY if there was a heavy pillion at the back.... now it lifts the wheel WITHOUT a pillion. And performance seems to IMPROVE in higher gears (higher road-speeds I mean).... dunno if this is due to some minor ram-air effect caused by the filters being in the open rather than inside a closed box. Will do a speed run later in the evening today.

And yes one more thing.... even though the carbs are set richer (with the bigger jets which came with the Chinoy Filter), the PUC figure is lower. Smoking has reduced greatly.

Other benefits: Induction howl, combined with the way how the engine CHASES the redline now, has made riding an addictive experience..... comparitively, earlier, before Chinoy Filter's and the jets, engine would be as eager to rev as a schoolboy having to go to school after summer vacation. Now it seems like the same schoolboy is going home after the last day of school. :D :D :D sorry for the non-techie description but there is no other way to put it.

Disadvantages: Will need to upgrade to better brakes.

THANK YOU RON! :D :D :D PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
