Hello!

Post by powerslave »

Hey!

I've been registered here for sometime but was wondering if it was a big deal to devote a complete topic to my introduction. But then I read the post about lurkers and leeches being axed so I thought why not:)!

In short, I know not much about bikes and don't have easy access to any workshop or tools to get my hands dirty with. I would love to do it though. I don't own an RD, infact I dont even own a proper powerbike. I ride a splendour- out of compulsion. I love the bike for what it is- smooth, frugal, reliable. I'm hopin to upgrade soon.

I'm a second year engineerin student. I'm doin computer engineering at RAIT (nerul). I like music, funny sitcoms like seinfeld, simpsons etc..
I happen to be a kawasaki fan and hope yammie freaks won't take my case for that..:D

Well I'm lookin forward to absorbing as much as I can from you gurus. As they say, dry sponges absorb faster...

Once again, Hi All!

Nice intro. Welcome to RDDreams!

(PS : Absorb as much as you want to, but make sure it doesnt make you ditch your Splendor and give you vrooom vrooom wet dreams in the night).
Some men have thousands of reasons why they cannot do it, what they need is one reason why they can.

Yo powerslave, nice to see another kawa fan here (I became one too after i rode a huge kawa way back in 1992.... it was a 70's model that looked like a KB-100 on steroids but was actually 1100 cc and 4-cylinders transverse. I don't know the name but it was FRIGGING WILD).... Welcome aboard. Yamahas are not too bad either LOL.... especially that 350 cc 2-stroke twin, damn I forgot that name too......

Welcome onboard mate. Happy sponging and if you are a Bullet fan stay away from Vivek. :lol: Have you modified your Splendor in any way? like air filter mods and weight reduction exercises, swing arm mods etc? dalda dabbas perhaps? :wink: Just kidding mate. Hope you will buy your dream bike, whichever that is, soon. Any history of bikes owned? Post it mate.

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcome!

@madmax: I'm already a vrroom vrroom wet dreamer. Blame it on a certain 1200cc 161rwhp kawa. :)

@satyajitmenon: lol! But m a teetotaller:D!

@wildchild: You talkin about ma lean mean cherry red splendour:D?

@vivek: You got to ride the GPZ 1100 ??? :shock:

@motorbreath: Are you from Rait too? Which year? Maybe I already know you :p.

@speedz: No not modified at all. Why not enjoy something which it does best? Mileage. I'll look for speed when I have a proper powerbike. That'll be when I mod stuff (with help from you guys:))

Thanks again for the warm welcome guys:) I'm sure I haven't even met 1% of members here yet.

Thank God you are not one of those dalda dabba brigade. :D Planning to buy a 1200 cc before you think of the RD? Man I am envious.

but getting 1200cc is the better option rather than being trapped by some local jugad guy with RD's.
