Subhashish, welcome here. You'll find all the info you need about RD's, on this forum.

Zaeem, I am from Pune too, available at 9823106662, 56091671 (work) and 26121957 (home). Buzz me if you wanna meet up. As for most of the Pune mechanics, don't believe everything you hear.... By trial and error, (and past experience) I have made up a list of specialists who are good at servicing some specific component of the RD. Don't go to the local "baaps" and "maas" or whatever.... they don't know jackshit about RD's, not only is visiting them an expensive proposition but it is also a dangerous one. Most of them will tell you that the RD is a "white elephant" only to justify their high charges. Most of them charge superbike "servicing" rates for anal-screwing your bike and giving it a wash.

I have a bright red 84 RD (MAZ 7599). Take care dude. And don't worry too much. ;-) Having a good RD is a celebration of life itself.... and having a bad one is not so bad after all, you can make it good quickly.
