keep a close watch on the plugs and the jetting, with the unis you might need to go a size bigger on the jets

well if if you install the digital CDI you will most surelly be ablet ot go to larger jets.
And the bikes power will also go up for sure.
I would recomend at least 190s with the Chinoy Filter and digital CDI to be on the safe side.

my tires are making a lot of noise on high way riding around 70 kph above that speeds i cannot hear it may be due to wind noise . like some one suggersted i am running 28psi on rear and 21 in the front. btw my tires were wearing out in the middle.so i think i am justified in running lower pressure. do any of you guys experienced any thing like this? what does that signify? is it time for a tire change? they are 5 years old.but still got some thread left.

ok here is feed back about tires, compared to the previous crappy tires i werer running the new zapper Qs offer better grip and ride quality,
grip i tested by braking hard, the front tires is so grippy it is not locking up even when i brake hard on a road surface with a little dirt on it. and as i have crappy rear brakes , it even make the rear end so light that the rear wheel locked up.
But they give vague feel while cornering i cannot feel where the bike is going.
Btw i found out that at speeds of 100kmph i have to excert a tremendous amount of force to make the bike corner, there is simply too much inertia from wheels i think/ may be my cornering technique is wrong.
the Zapper Q s make steering a bit on the heavier side, but all in all i am satisfied with the performance.

but aren't the zapper Qs, 17 inch tyres (as they are in the new pulsars)? Or are 18 inch ones available too?

yup it is still available in the 18-inch avatar...

btw ramchand after reading the entire story, u still havent uttered a word about installing disc brakes on ur bike.lot of ppl here r insisting on one but seem to be more biased towards performance than safety.whats speed without stopping power?think of it first buddy.even the 150cc bikes need disc and u have a 350cc demon and still no disc?

by this time i can say that my bike got good enough brakes, it is tested on track by master blaster *beep* himself (record lap time of 1.26 min) .the drums are working great , and i am planning to change one of the front shoes it looks a little worn to me after the track meet.i got spare shoes in stock.so am not thinking of changing into disks for the time being.

I can vouich for the bike's performance and for the tires as well. I did not ride it on the track but a ride around the pits was proof enough of Ron's work and Ramchand's maintenance. kudos to both of you. =D> =D> amazing bike Ranchand. One suggestion though. If you repaint the bike and it will look as smashing as the mindblowing performance. Superb bike. I just cant stop admiring man.

hi
has any one thought of trying ths TVS Jumbo tyre with 120 profile, they sound all right but dont knok what s the height of the tyre, should be 120/70 or 120-80 anything over that will scrape the swing arm??
What about the bullet disc set up, the factory price is 6700 for the disc , rotors and caliper, but think will need bullet forks as well!!!!

any comments!!!!!!

hi guys , this is a sort of blog about my track day week end,
Bringing my RD to the track was a long time dream of mine, and i was able to realise it cos i am a member of RD dreams forums. there are people in the history of man kind who have dared to travel seperate/new roads and it is because of people like that progress was made possible.
these people can be called visionaries and i am proud to be assossiated with one of those
Our Ron , i consider him a true visionary with out him this forums will never exist and all the members will probably never meet.
I have encountered many people from different walks of like in my carreer as a dentist and also in my personal life, i can fairly evaluate a person by the way he organise/administer / do things, and i consider Anand a true leader , he took the first step/s so as to make this track day possible, i thank Anand/dharmaracer for becoming an agent so as to help me realize my dream.
All the guys who took part in this track day , without whose enthusiasm and effort also financial contribution this week end will never be possible, i did enjoyed your company immensly guys

This is how i prepared for the track day , since we have the dates known well in advance i was able to arrange things in my clinic so that i can get those days off(i work on weekends and sundays)
About the bike i explored different options , by volvo bus, or train, but these did'nt worked out, so i choose the option of packing the bike into my car and driving there.
I took off the rear and front wheels and also the front forks , and the rest of the bike is a clean fit inside my Indica and i packed the necessary things into my car it is a clean fit , the stuff did'nt even rattle when i encounter rough roads on my drive to combi.
I put in new oil castrol GTX 1500cc into the gearbox , also put in new spark plugs , new tires , MRF Zapper Q s that is all the prep i did to the bike , also put on a pair of imitation clipons.
The drive to combi was uneventful as i hoped it will be , i took a break from driving every hour , since i am driving alone and i was keeping in touch with Anand via cell phone to keep me updated about the progress they were making.
I started from Triv at about 8 am and reached valayar by 4 pm i took a some what long break - took a room at hotel araam and slept for 2 hours and take a bath before proceeding to Hotel Ratna regency which i did at 7 30 pm.
By about 10 30 pm Anand and arun reached there by that time i was already checked in .
Early next morning we hoped to proceed to the trach which was about 20 kilometers away but was delayed by unforseen mishap involving wraiths car.
when we finally arrived at the track it is already12 noon and we had a sort of breifing , and we had a few sessions , oh before the sessions i have to do some wrenching so that i can put my bike back together, which i accomplished in a short while thanks to help from many of our members , especially bike lover , Anand ,wraith , speedz , *beep* and Rags.
Finally got to meet lepp and his tattoos at the track
my first ride around the track can be described by the word overwhelming, i have no idea where i was or what my bike is doing or which gear iot is in or any thing.
the second session Anand give me a sort of piloting around the track so thanks to him i was able to make some sense out of the track and its corners and chicanes etc. Even though the point in bringing my RD to the track was to '"ride it to its limits" which is impossible on public roads.Even though i was unable to accoplish that finally some one did , "Master blaster" *beep* did ride my bike to the absolute limits which he later confirmed with the following words"ramchand got off lucky".
I am really happy that i was finally able to ride the RD the way it is supposed to be ridden.
Being at the track for the first time for me can be described as being in a adrenaline high.exciting words cannot desctribe the feeling one will get listening to high pitched 2 stroke notes when they are passing you by at speeds over 100+ kph on the straight.
who can forget Abhi's bullet ,never seen a bullet ridden like that.Man you can ride.
the second day was a little bit unnerving for all of us , may be except Anand. I am talking about CCR's fall, was worried a bit at first seeing all that blood from his mouth , but was really relived when he said 'shit' - atleast he is not out of his senses, so he is not seriously injured, thank god for that. there was not much riding going on after all that any way i ride a few times around the track and then handed the bike over to *beep* which he took around the track in his blistering style for a few laps and then it was time again to pack up and leave , let the bike cool down for a while again dismantled it and put it in with the help of other members and also Kushal (anand's driver)
He was a great help around the pits.
and by lunch time CCR is back from hospital, walking wounded- his hand in a splint and carrying Xrays and some other stuff.
then we all had lunch and photo session thanks to Indomitable Rags and are on our way home by 4 pm.
i reach home by 00:00. hours
the bike is still sitting my garage i did'nt get time to put it back together, i am still cleaning wheel bearings and putting in new grease packing i decarbonised the silencers , also drilled new holes on the flute as Ron suggested and put in the silencers today,
there is more work pending on the bike
any way that is all for now.
