Phosperous Bronze Swing Arm Bushings.
Phosperous Bronze Swing Arm Bushings.
Well either you know what this is or you dont.
Those who know what a PB swing arm bush can do to help handeling can buy them.
Price is 9$ each. Or Rs Rs 425/- each. (RD will need two)
And when we say PB we mean PB not Steel, not brass, not Gun metal.
We have opted not to give the bushes a spiral cut because it weakens the bush. There is no need for a spiral cut. The steel insert allready has holes and spiral cuts on it to carry the lubrication. Both options where tested.
If you still insist we can put in a spiral cut.
Also as to the process of making the bushes. There are 3 ways of doing it. From cheapest and worst quality to the best.
1. Cast the bushes in PB. The machine to final size.
Advantages: Cheap cheap. Least ammount of metal wasted. Least ammount of time to machine. Problem is metal becomes porus and granular looses strength.
2. Cast or buy the metal as a pipe.
Again least ammount of wastage. But metal structure is compromised.
3. Machines from solid block / cylinder.
Very costlly, lotsa metal wasted. Lot of time and effort taken shaping from a block.Best structural strength and integrity.
Needless to say we have opted for option 3.

To vilify a great man is the readiest way in which a little man can himself attain greatness.
