Updates on baby ugly
Test updates..
Sat 12th June… started off with the test.. put oil in gear box.. the concept of dry clutch n babe are a no no combination.. the gear box has improved tremendously after we managed to fill her up with some decent tranny oil…
couple of warm up runs and clutch gave up on us … need impact to remove the covers which we wise guys haven’t purchased yet lol.. good ol scooty used to push the bike to nearest garage.. noise from drive train also heard while pushing..
Opens up the side cover and it’s a revelation.. front sprocket has lost its lock washer n nut and has come off..
thanks to the projectiles the clutch cable link has been badly twisted and the cable out..
Motor n Tom rides back to the test space and search for the damn nut and comes back with loads of used condoms…
couple of frantic calls to Ron and Arun to know where to source the Nut, and meanwhile the good ol scooty also packed up with a puncture hauling our arses.. good ol CAX misfiring like hell comes to rescue and Tom n Motor go hunting for the nut.. I parked my arse at the garage and tried fixing the clutch cable connector mangled but the mech somehow brought back to a decent shape
hooray the NUT is purchased and 30 mts later babe is back in action but day light is out n we called it a day n hit for the watering joint (what’s new lol)
Sunday motor has put 250 mains (power jets closed) take the bike back to the grounds.. tom takes a warm up run (after the encounter with dogs he needs this to get back into form) and kaput the cable has again sprung a slack..
few adjustments and motor test the bike and yes we have managed to screw the clutch again.. lesson learnt we need to do some proper work with the damn cable link..
drives back to parking lot remove the cover n nothing is seriously wrong but a bad vibe from the link so removed it and we need to somehow make/buy a new one or at least give it a decent reinforcement and put it back so that it doesn’t give up on us again..

Guys, I got the feeling a shaky rear sprocket is going to haul the front one out of its moorings again. Better bite the bullet and fix both proper. Also any misalignment of the sprockets will be amplified by the kind of power u folks are dealing with. How are the swingarm bushes? Does the swingarm flex when u try to put the power on the tar? My tuppence, prevent further fiascos, check the entire lot and get it set just right.

The problem is simple.
You have fited a "Local" rear sprocket.
If the rear is even minutelly out it will rip the front sprocket out.
My advise get an OE rear and fit that for now. Till you get somebody to make you a sprocket who knows what he is doing.
THe gearing may not be perfect but you can adjust for the change.
I had the same problem on my bike. My soluton was use two nuts and thread lock.
