Hello All,
I'm an IT professional from Bangalore. I have a 4 speed RX135 and love every moment of my time with my bike.
I still remember the day i saw the RX100 for the first time. I was walking home from school and the first thing i noticed about the bike was the exhaust. Way back in 1988, there were very few bikes that looked as smashing as the RX100 (atleast in my town).
It was love at first site. Made a promise to myself that I will get this bike when i grow big.
Fast forward to 1999, I was lucky enough to get a room mate in college who had a RX135. It was the most memorable year of my college life. Though I rode pillion most of the time, it was enough to keep my smiling all day. I learnt to ride on this RX135 - 4 speed :-)
Got a job in 2000, but was able to buy my RX135 only in 2003 after i returned back from USA.
Bajaj Pulsar was just released and their "definitely male" adverts were everywhere.
My firends even asked why i chose a older bike when new models were available. I have ridden a lot of bikes but nothing impressed me like a RX. Even today as i ride my bike to office, my smile is still wide and i know I was lucky to get the RX135 before it was discontinued.
I love DIY and have started fixing up my bike myself. Have changed all the cables, brake pads, cleaned the Petrol tank, carburetor and the cat con silencer. All my DIY episodes were filled with struggles but it was good learning and i thoroughly enjoyed it.
Looking forward to be part of this forum and continue with my DIY.
Cheers
Kash
