An Ode to the best Tank Ever Mini Pro Tank 2.

Post by chinoy »

As a smoker we all have that one tank we turn to when nothing is working right.
When you want to relax with a good flavor. When you want to go out with a small tank.
When you just want something that works and tastes good.
This tank is so good that BV has imported this tank is bulk. In fact really bulk.

A small disclaimer. Your protank may not match mine out of the box. But you can get it there.

How do you know if you hit the sweet spot ?. For me I should be able to vape at full blast 6 volts on a the iTaste VTR. And not get any dry hits.

If you want an adjustable air flow base like the one on my tank ask BV
This build is 6 wraps off 30 gauge on 3mm Silica with a 2mm Flavor Wick.
Pick shows more wraps. But you unwrap what is not neat only leaving behind the neat wraps.

This was one of my first tanks.
Its over 7 months old. Used every single day. Broke the glass 3 times.
But still going strong.
It gets rebuilt at least once a week. And I use it everyday.

Living my mini PT3 as well. Took a box cutter to the airholes and the draw is now perfect. The only downside is that my tank instantly floods whenever my friends try to take a puff. Ordered an Aerotank Mow from FT, it's got good reviews generally and was very cheap at 15$

I have a PT3 dont like it. Drilled out the air holes, changed the base. Did everything. Even tried winding dual and single coils. Also have a TD3 didn't like it.
Just cant stand anything dual coil. Maybe its my juice. Maybe its mental.
With the PT2 its so easy to build a coil. Modify the wick density to match the juice.
Even the mouth piece is more natural nipple shaped.

The dual coils are really tough to rebuild. I've just been rebuilding the single coil heads and using them in my mini PT3. There is a large gap between the tank chimney and the coil gasket but haven't had any leaking because of that.

Want to try a chimney coil rebuild with the dual coil head, but those are notoriously difficult.

The good news is you can recover some of the money wasted. By using the base from the new tank on a protank 2.
THe protank 2 is my fav tank. But the stock base sucks.
You can use your the base from the Mew on a PT2.

Trust me once you get use to a single coil at 15 watts on a PT2 mini you wont want to smoke anything else. Its better than a Kayfun. Except the Kayfun is easier to rebuild and holds more juice.

Well I'm not very picky, as I said I'm loving my PT3 at the moment. However I only have an ego battery at the moment, getting my iStick next week and will try upping the wattage with my rebuilt coils.

THe problem only happens when you taste something better.
I was happy smoking a cartomiser till somebody showed me a T2 tank. Then I thought T2 was so hot it deserved a review lol.
Then you start to build. Try higher and higher watts. You start to mod tanks and you realize its a never ending pandora's box you have opened.

You know you have your mini dialed in when you can vape it at a full 15 watts. Without getting burnst taste.
I have taken it up to 30 - 40 watts. But 15 is the sweet spot on the mini.

You need to build a nice coil with good cotton or silica. Just did a protank 3 mini using Ecko Wool. Mind Blowing.
We have some really nice ecowool which I am trying to sell for Andy.
