Today I smoked a stinkie in 1.5 years

Post by AndyK »

Have been wondering what it would feel like smoking a stinky after vaping for more than 1.5 years. So visited a nearby shop and bought my (used to be favourite) cigarette Benson & Hedges. The first puff was like I swallowed some cat poop .. shit it gave me cough because of the smelly ugly bitter taste and a very very dull feeling. I can't tell you how ugly it felt. Couldn't smoke even half the cigarette and threw it away with a feeling of throwing up. Felt so bad that I returned to my car and put the AC on full and sat down with my eyes closed for 15 minutes.

Not making up anything, it felt damn ugly. That feeling of hopelessness returned that I had forgotten. I wouldn't even suggest an enemy to try that shit ever again.

Also, I did ask the cigarette wala what was the cost of the pack. He said Rs. 190/-

I used to smoke 10 cigarettes a day (sometimes more). Even if we take 1 pack (pack of 20 stinkies) for two days, I would be spending 15 x 190 = Rs 2850. That is close to $50 a month. And that is $600 a year + LOADS of chemical and shit inside me. Regular cigarettes contain 4000 plus chemicals out of which there are 80 carcinogens (Cancer causing chemicals). Who knows what else is in the rest of the chemicals. All contribute to making our lives dull and full of problems.

On the other hand, imagine how much stuff I can buy with $600? FECK!

I can buy an eGo kit or a mod for just $25 and about the same for a rebuildable atomizer or a bunch of clearomizers. Can buy loads of eLiquids, wires and stuff. STILL I will be left with half the money to spend on other stuff. Plus, the biggest benefit, my health will stay rock solid!

I LOVE VAPING!

(And, please don't go running out to cigarette wala just to try that POS stinky! You will regret.)

I want to try. But only after 1 year. And only after all medical tests come back saying that my heart is 100% healthy.
Im thinking april 9th 2015

Most people thinking of stopping and trying e-cig dont think like that.
They think 25$ wow I can get a pack of 10 stinkies for 2$. This is what I see in their faces when I tell them the price of starter kit.

I was on 3-4 packs a day. Would be spending at least 400 bucks a day on stinkies.
Just last month I paid off my stinkie supplier. My monthly bill with him used to be 10K. And he would delay giving me my bill for months. The balance with him was 14K. Put it on my card. lol.
Hope I never have to spend like that again.
What makes me very very scared is soon more and more people will learn about e-cig. Big t and the Govt will get very very pisssed off if somebody or something challenges their cash cow.
This is why now days I dont even try and educate people. If your smart you will figure it out. If your stupid. Keep smoking keep giving money to Big T and Govt.

IMHO

That first cigarette _always_ feels bad. Doesn't mean anything :)

In fact the worse it feels, the safer it appears - oh this is such shit, I wonder why I ever smoked this shit, I'm pretty sure I'll never smoke this shit again on a regular basis, that sort of thought
And the safer it appears, the more likely that we will try a second one at some point...and that's how it (re)starts I guess.
Always felt that the first criteria for addiction is an absolute confidence that addiction won't happen

At least that's how it's always worked out for me.
Not sure about others or how e-cigs change the equation, but anyway.
Off all kinds of smokes for a while now...now excuse me while I go work on a nice hangover

^ Lol!! You were always an alcohol-burning motor!! :D
But I do think you're spot on about the "I'll try it once and it will never happen again" trip. Done it one too many times myself.

Ron, just stay away man. You now know better than probably anybody else here all the nasty stuff that goes into making a stinkie. Why devolve when you have helped so many of us evolve and have all the options in the world to keep evolving onto better and better...
