Thick or Thin.

Post by chinoy »

There is a debate going on.

I say I want to use the highest quality VG and PG in the world that I can get. Cost no bar.
The problem with this is the juice is very very thick.

This kind of juice is called Velvet cloud and commands high premium world wide.

My friends and members tell me that its not fair to expect customers to add anything to the juice even if its water.

Why not offer both? Ready-to-vape and concentrate.

Its not concentrated its just good quality shit.
Maybe if sales take off. Right now I just want to offer what I enjoy vaping. The compromise of having to use plastic bottles to ship stuff is pissing me off no end.
People should only use glass. For juice, for tanks, But courier company wont touch glass.

oh, the previous description made me think it was a concentrated version of the juice that needed to be diluted down with VG or something before use.

Something concentrated will do wonders. It will also be affordable after adding water (same price range of FT & other china sites) for many & So any one can kick that chemical eliquids & just order from baba vapes. Also will not affect flavor.
Add on it will result to less nicotine which is motive of BV.

Its not an issue of Concentration. Its an issue of thickness. If I where to match the FT prices I would need to buy the cheapest PG, VG and nic I could find. Then no problem matching them.
Ive gone in the opposite direction.

The Original E-Juice has always been based on PG.
Things dissolved easy in PG. Flavors and Nic both dissolve easy. But its a petroleum product. Used in making plastics. It is labeled as hazardous to inhalation and skin contact. In fact when you smoke it you get a throat hit. A throat hit is nothing buy harsh chemicals coming in contact with your throat.

VG on the other hand has only now started to make its way into the e-cig world. But its growing in popularity. Because its harmless. But its thick and it does not carry flavors very well. i.e. the flavors are muted.
Being thick it may not work with some tanks and cartos.
With a little tweaking you can get it to work. Or you could just add water and thin down the solution. VG+ Water is still less harmful than PG. Water just becomes steam and we can inhale steam with no negative effects.

if that is the case, i think you should just stick with the thick juice and put out a customer advisory suggesting the required mods and/or what ratios they can water the liquid down with if it is too thick and doesn't work with their equipment. Meets your goal of keeping vaping as healthy an experience as possible and reduces the eventual cost for the customer.

Thick all the way. The quality of vape on a dripper can't be beat. In an EVOD or protank type deal it becomes an issue. Gurgling, leaking, wicks that don't last etc. But that's the issue with the basic design of those tanks. I think the community as a whole is moving away from those atomiser types and into RDA's and RBA's. Even relatively new vapers seem to be seeing the light. Like ajith said, a simple advisory would work wonders. MBV does the same so people know what's what.

Cartos need the most thinning. About 2-3 ML of Vodka or Distilled water.
Genny need less water. About 1-2 ML.
Kanger techs about 2 ML.

Thick juice will never cause leaks or gurgling that is only caused by thin juice.
Thick juice will at worst cause dry hits. Where there is not enough juice hitting the wick.

Thick juice works fine on my Kayfun / Ithaka / Dripper / & Kanger tech tanks with some mods.
