Name: Darshan Nelson Sebastian
Profession: IT infra PM, But techie at heart and experience. (Based out of dubai..family into paper business aging more than a century)
Passion: bikes, long distance touring, high speed 4x4 off-roading ( the kind we do in Middle East on the dunes (I dislike Indian events where the track is designed to eff up the vehicle)
Another passion is photography...though I am not good at taking pics ( interested in the gadgetry)
Another passion is engines..but only as per need. I have been learning to tune.. But that is a subject I will reserve for when we meet. For the record. I am just a newbie.
Now coming to the topic:
I have an LT Rd unsleeved second over size. However I am in nego with the same guy who sold me the rd for another rd which is stock. Meaning the engine was never opened, same paint from factory etc.
the seller is a friend for years and wanted to gift one of of his RDs which I couldn't accept years back. (Just so that you know the kind of guy)
He wants my bike in exchange!!!
Talks are on.
If I get the stock one...looks like an antique.. I will pickle it for future Rons!!
Orrr.....maybe if RDD accepts to work on an un effed rd, I will send the whole bike to rdd.
I would dislike to have a clueless mech play with my rd. (I do have access to some good folks who I trust)
I am willing to accept and spend time on something which went not as expected due to a
Reason.
I hate to rework because of incompetence.
I have been a lurker for some time. Fell in love with the RD in 1998 when I bought an RD and gave it away to a friend (who said why do u need this..you have a bike already...gave it away for 4 k..same price I got it for)
No RD ever since gave me the same feeling as the 4k INR rd.
Why am I at rdd?
For the brotherhood.
In belief that some day I will feel the 4k rd again. (Don't even know whiter it was an lt or ht)
In belief that Ron is hiding some magneto kits in his closet.
Though I believe in RON I hate surprises. So in effect I can't give blank cheques. BUT!! I Am willing to pay premium for whatever job that you are wiling to do and that only you can do!!
For starters i need somebody who knows chit to clean my hurricane carter and solex carb for me.
My dude who intro me to rdd said..bro just write a humble intro..and back off...
Don't know whether whatever I wrote was humble. But rest assured I do not have a bone to pick with any of you nice guys and if I did I would make sure you knew.
