Digital Rippin: Initial impressions of RDD RXG CDI

Need recommendations for a good battery which can withstand irregular use. The bike is stock. Having used the 'maintenance free' batteries on my RX100 few years back, I am apprehensive about them but will try if that suits my current purpose.

Have not been using the bike regularly for the past four months and the battery has given up. Two rounds of charging has not helped.

It is jerking badly when I let go off the throttle and I believe this is because battery not supplying required input to CDI. Carb cleaning has been done twice.
