Hey guys,
My name is Samuel, 29, Bangalore. I've had my RD350 since 2001 when I was in college. Right now, workin in Bangalore as a live sound engineer. I got back to India a couple of years ago, had stored my RD at a friends place while I was away. Anyways, to make a long story short, my heart broke when I came back and saw her without a cover, outside the garage... Anyways got her back to my place, got her started ... heard there was a lot noise coming from the engine that wasnt there earlier ..
figured that I need a rebuild. So far nothings happened, Ive just stripped her down .. last few things to come off..
Hey Ron, I'm so glad to know that there are people in India who do what they love, and are appreciated and recognized for it. Anyways.. when I start the rebuild, will let you know what I'm doing, any inputs would be great. Will probably start a new thread for it. Cheers, happy riding..
Samuel.

Thats cool. There was one more guy I built a RD for who was into what you do. He too was a sound engineer.

thanks guys ...
nice to quick responses... ... the live sound engineering community is quite small .. I'm relatively new to the circuit here .. getting to know more people everyday.. Bangalore sure has changed .. .. I joined RDD when I got back .. but just read threads and topics ... but never got the time to introduce myself... 2 years just threw myself into work .. but now ..things are getting better in terms of time for myself. hence the intro ..
I was reading at a couple of places ... (websites) where I could probably source a new crankshaft .. I wanna build this right.. heh.. I figured that Ill start at the heart ... the crank .. pretty expensive out there .. almost $700 .. for a new one... I was wondering what the differences between the rz and the rd crank are.. and also if +4mm strokers really help... If there are threads about it .. Please point me in that direction ... will be sure , to read up on it .. so far i dont have much in terms of parts.. but I'm gonna source them out ..
Come out, come out wherever you are !!
heh..
cheers..
