Once again my RD build story by RDD
No no no it's not 2nd RD but the same which got RDD treatment last year, Just putting it down once again over here as lots of negative vibes are ruining the common thing which we all share over here that is biking.
I got cheated by so called Delhi tooner on barrel part, and Ron came for the rescue along with his moral support to pull me out of those low days, invested his hell lot of time, blood, sweat(i have seen it) and knowledge to not only build my RD also to get me the best out of what ever shit i have got from so called RD experts cum "chut fatangs".
The whole exercise was not so easy but the dedication of Ron his patient ultimatly paid off. We faced many other issues like rust in tank etc which i got it fixed and once again thanks to Ron for noticing it on time before it could have eaten my engine his art work.
Almost a month back i felt some noise from engine which i took it to Ron and again he saved the engine, one bolt was loose in clutch basket and i was lucky enough that it didnt screwed the clutch compartment, got it fixed with switching to Motul 300V, and just to eliminate the chances of any issue with piston rings did compression testing after riding the bike for a good 20 minutes and both shown a healthy compression and same in both cylinders, again no one apart from Ron adviced for all these tasks.
I never felt any issue approaching him for any thing related to RD, today got two things from him(not going to disclose over here) without any issue, not sure how people says he is not approchable.
Today evening Pradeep took the test ride and if he is reading this topic sure he is going to explain what i am talking about.
Apologies for poor writing skills as i am very bad at it but the moto is to spread the truth, and that dosent require writing skills.

Ajay, your writing skills are fine and all you need to do is post a few pics and a video clip of that beautiful bike in song. It should do all the talking for itself.
Thank you very much for letting me take her for a spin. This is one nicest street builds I've ridden and the power output is exactly how I like it.
A bottom end torque that lets you get away without any front-wheel dramas, then a FAT mid-range kicks in and the front becomes light and if you feel brave enough to keep the throttle pinned, you get flung backward as bike launches forward with the front wheel skipping in third gear. I also loved the way the bike is setup: pulling smooth throughout the rev-range. Hats off to that! Lotta guys have problem with setting up a new build. And those vintage discs were very progressive and ideal for street and weekend riding.
If I could afford myself a RD as a commuting/touring bike, I would go for your setup in a heartbeat. I prefer riding slow in traffic without any dramas and once the roads open up I like to quickly leave everything behind and keep those wheels spinning hard and fast.
But the cherry on the cake is that your bike is running on China barrels. It surely has come a long way from when it was supplied with pistons that wouldn't slide through. If anybody reading this thinks that the China barrels are any good. They're not! A lotta work has gone into fixing up these barrels and getting them to run proper. I wouldn't blame Ron, if he refuses to do it again.
But at the end of the day there is one more guy happy with his RDD build. I hope karma deals severly with those who tried to screw him over. Now all that remains to be done is keep that throttle pinned often to riding heaven.

Thanks Pradeep for your expert review on my bike, sure will shoot the video asap, this setup actually sings better on highway, i am thankful to you for letting me hear her roar from backside as never heard her from back, waiting for next ride to take her on proper open roads. Waiting for the right time to give her a dyno pull, i am sure she will be the most powerful RD around with china barrels. Once again all credit goes to non other then Ron and RDD for being with me all the time and helping me getting this setup.
Ron it will be surprice for everyone that after i got conned one common friend(18 RD's) came in picture to save me from this con deal and he got threaten not me, they were ready to give me the full refund but by that time we already started work on barrels so i opted for returning their "Agra Pistons" and setting up bench mark for those cheaters on china barrels.
After this incident our common friend again become friend of those Delhi Tooners, for me it takes just one incident to decide whether to be friend or just cut off the links forever, not sure how people again become chaddi buddies.
This engine is going to keep its secret forever, and thats why till now even after over 18 months no one is able to offer china barrel fix or any claim about it's performance.I am ok to loose RD but not RDD, as getting RD is easy not RDD RD, this bike will go to my kid or someone who really cares of RDD RD, of cource after your confirmation.
Almost completed building another engine with US spec barrels for this bike as even after few years engine goes to Ron for rebuild bike will be keep on running.

Don't make me laugh, man. Am quite faaar from being an expert on anything. I just thought that it would be nice to write about a really sweet bike that I have ridden after a long time. I completely agree about this being the perfect highway bike.

Ajay, your bike is the bomb! I can imagine the amount of time and effort it took to bring her to this state. Better install a T-Cop device ASAP man! Phew!

Thanks guys, apart from engine the front end took hell lot of time and effort, had tough time with customs and then small components like fork boots, oil seal, calliper repairing kit, break pads, master cylinder kit etc were tough to procure and costed bomb, the whole front end is US spec only tyre was sourced from JC road.
+1 Ajith even I felt that it was looking better when work was in progress specially the quality of US spares, even after being 1973 make still they are solid and shining.
Few small things are still pending like replacing the T stem with US spec one with steering damper and installing the whole new white tank with Yamaha written on it instead of Rajdoot, side shields etc with US spec decals .This blue stuff will go to the LT.
Sid I almost had heart attack some 3 weeks back when security guys picked all bikes without lock parked in basement in our apartment and kept in their shed as they received couple of 2 wheeler theft complains, haven't locked any bikes till that time as it's very secured area guarded 24x7, I just ran to their office and came to know the scene, now apart from handle lock I am putting those chain kind lock on wheels as well.Funny thing was they asked me why so many bikes sir, sell these Rajdoot's to us .

A lock can only protect up to a certain extent, but a theft recovery system will give you the ability to get her back if ever stolen. I plan on getting one too.

Ajay when you do the Dyno run. Be sure to do a top speed run also.
Top speed is when they put it in 6th and ask you to whack it open from low RPM.
The funny thing is that the guys who criminally cheat Ajay are still doing rip roaring business. With nobody to question them.

Such projects or should I say most RDD builds are once in a life time builds.
You build it right and maintain it right. And she last for many years. Im sure Ajays Engine life will be as good if not better than mohits bike.
Most of our builds are doing on avrage 20-40,000 Ks.

You wanted to know about why your Bike was not reving out. Before you installed the RDD CDI.
The reason is simple. You where on a static CDI. In the old days. People would install the static CDI with a timing off 20 Deg. And it would work just like points.
But then after RDD Digital CDI came out and we asked people to set max advance and 24-26 deg. Everybody and their uncle also started setting the static CDI at 24-26 Deg. This gave them better low end. But made it hard for the engine to rev out.
The smart guys set their static timing based on their porting. i.e. if I was setting up a drag bike with I would set the timing to 14-16 Deg.
THe minute you shifted to the RDD CDI. The ECU started to back off the timing. And thus the engine ran fine.

Hope atleast 50% of two stroke owners should understand what CDi you developed and what it does to any 2 stroke motor, i am trying my best to make people aware of what RDD cdi is.

Ron bike is capable of over 100 miles per hour no doubt, i did 95 miles per hour today on electronic city fly over, age is catching up and dont have enough guts to cross that speed and slowed down, i am sure a better rider can show the actual potential of this build.
