i am an old member been on and off the site since a few years
i have been a RD fan since i was introduced to it when i first came to india in 2003.
being a student never had the money but eventually in 2007 i bought my first and sadly last RD i was cheated and mostly its my fault since i had little knowledge and didnt take along any experianced people to check the bike out i should have taken forum member gravityman but i dont know y i didnt.
the bike was shiny looked new sounded awesome so i bought it turned out it was already dying on its 4th oversize well
i still drove it proudly and cherished everyday on it till it eventually died and sold it for half the value of what i had originally bought it for
well that was the end of my education in india and moved to the gulf where i bought a ninja zx10r .
but i still remember the rd and would like to own one a proper one. i have the time and a bit of moolah to achieve this and would like RDD to help me realize this dream. how do i achieve this. i am not over ambitious but simple in my needs
i would like to own/build an RD which is 1- capable of true 120-130kmph 2- able to cruise at 100-110kmph for touring 3- very fast off the line and great mid range 4- has to look amazzzzzzing. 5- would like it to last at least 35-40k kms. i am patient and in no hurry since im not in india but would like to start with this project.
and very importantly should be reliable!!!!! unlike my last rd
can i be helped!! suggestions and advices on how do i begin expected costs etc etc.
i want a bike that i can keep for a looooooong time to come
