Mondeo review post RDD touch

Post by ccr »

I've been an RDD member and customer for 8 years now. Never been disappointed. So pardon my bland review cause I pretty much know what to expect off Rons work, unlike other 14 year olds who get all flush with their first RDD CDI.

Bought a Mondeo 2 months back ... love the electrically adjustable drivers seat hehe ... so do the girls :D
The car is real good fun except for the occasional shudder on low RPMs due to a sluggish throttle response
I blamed it on the 50K km it had done and couldnt care anyway - its s 200kmph car...wtf?

When I brough it over to Ron, he popped the hood and demanded I pay him an advance for the filter swap and intake mod. Dint have to think twice .. Paid up. Ron got out his vernier, wrote down some numbers ...
A month later the kit was ready. Took 10 minutes to setup and WOW ... well more like wow. there isnt much you can do on High Street these days with speedbreakers et al.

Next day went on a drive down to the airport and what a blast ... ai ai ai ... This time WOW
The throttle reponse is CRISP ... no shudder ... no struggle ... just instant ... u can hear the car breathe ... rather growl ...
It pulls clean all the way to 7K and stays there at the rev limit ... on every gear (well dint get there on 4th and 5th yet; have to plana longer ride for that) .... Is worth every bit of the 6 kmpl economy that it returns
nuff with the patronization ... Ron ... thanks man ... Will save up for the turbo in abt a year ... Will be your slickest project yet.

Mohith and Ajith have driven the car pre CI, so will let them drive again and add to this

Congrats CCR on feeling the magic which turns anyone into 14 year olds.

Have fun and let's blame it on Ron-The Magician.

thanks George.
I would recommend a series off small mods each which contribute to better performance.
next would be porting the heads (the rdd way), then tuned headers or a free flow exhaust, then rdd pigy back ecu with power and economy switch, and if you still need power cams.
Turbo sounds like fun. But trust me the 2 Km/Ltr gets boring really fast.
In NA mode we can optimize the engine and not loose out on mileage.
