Standing ovation
Holy mother of all gods!!!!!!!!!! I am writing this post with complete disbelief…… I have never been overwhelmed by anything to this magnitude. My respect for Ron has increased tenfold. I guess you all have figured what I am talking about. I finally got timing advanced on my bike one month after getting the RDD cdi for my RXZ 5 speed.
I had read several posts on this site about ppl praising the CDI but it never made sense until today. Its actually as good as everyone said it is, actually better…. Hats off to you Ron Sir. Believe it or not my mech (I won’t mention who) showed tremendous amount of respect to Ron, and said he deserved every bit of it. All the way back from the mech shop, I was thinking if this is how good the RXZ runs, I wonder how my RD would run with THE RDD CDI which running on shitty points ignition now. (I am dying to get a RDD CDI now)
The bike is running like a dream- mean, green and clean!!! I have run out of words to describe how good it feels . Not only does the bike feel brilliantly torq-ky, be it low or mid range but its also revving beautifully.
I guess how much ever I brag about my bike it won’t make sense unless someone has been through what I have been through.
Finally, I would like to give a small piece of advice to everyone installing the CDI, please keep a print out of installation manual before going to your mech, don’t bank on your memory . Sorry for the trouble Ron for calling you and asking the same question a million others in the forum have asked.. “What should you do with the shorter bunch of wires.. what is blue for what is white for and the yellow???” my bad . But thanks again for helping me out.
All hail the guru of 2strokes in India – Sir RD Chinoy! Your experience and expertise is extremely evident in the CDI.
Also, my special thanks to maudbiker who helped me with the installation.

Re: Standing ovation
Maybe I should print out that page and hand it ouver with each CDI
Landing up at the mech place without knowing what wire is what is the number one reason for blowing units.
That was my only fear.
Thanks for the kind words.
Every single customer installs the CDI and then SMS me or calls me and is excatic. My standard response is yes I know how good it is.
Tell others please. Educate others.
anything that makes the two stroke trip better. and gives our bikes better engine efficiency is a good thing
Normally people with healthy engines see the most gains so your engine must be in ood condition.
With the rarity of spares you have now extended your engine life quite a bit.

You can start by going through all the links in this topic..ramchandra_salunke wrote:

1. Refer the link Anirudh has given you.
2. Yes you can install the CDI yourself if you follow the instructions carefully but, for drilling the holes in the coil plate i suggest you go to a mech or take it to proper lathe. You don't wanna mess up your coil plate.. they are hard to find.
3. What kinda trail and error are you talking about???? Dude don't try anything stupid.. There are enough posts on the site which will tell you what exactly you should and should not do.
4. Before you start. Check that the wiring, RR, coils, are all stock OEM and not been messed with. Also, make sure your battery has not lost its life and is charging properly. Get a activa plug cap and WR5BC Mico Bosch plug nothing else can handle the spark strength. The CDI is a delicate and valuable item don't blow it.
The installation is easy, its no rocket science, all the rocket science has already been taken care of by Ron Sir... http://www.rddreams.com/index.php?optio ... &Itemid=57
But be dead sure before you do anything!!! I guess you know how it hurts to mess up your treasured ride.

One last question..did you install it along with the Lightning coil 90/100 or with Stock...or is it advisable to use it togetherrebel_machine wrote:You can start by going through all the links in this topic..ramchandra_salunke wrote:

Re: Standing ovation
The 90/100 Kit is the added benefit, if only the CDI is better the CDI with 90/100 Kit is BEST. It can run on stock coil as well as you can go for 90/100 coil also.
