I just want to thank Mohit for being such a nice customer.

His build has resulted in a long line of people wanting to get their Balenos the RDD treatment.

Thanks Mohit
a. For being such a cool customer
b. For keeping the faith all these years.
c. For being a good friend and somebody who is always there can be counted on for the chips are down.

Ron, thanks for your kind words, I didnt know what to say or how to thank you.

Car is going in for the 40K very soon. All fluids will be changed, new spark plugs. Moving to Mobil 1 fully synth from Shell fully synth.

Chinoy Filter filter needs to be cleaned. Exhaust got bend because I ground it on some mountain bumps.

Car will see some high running next month. Plus I have a few kerala trips coming up. Car should see another 6 or 7K before the end of the year.

I have not updated the thread because there is nothing to update. Thing has been running without even as much care as you would give a stock car. Touchwood.

Cool
I would recommend Motul 300V Fully Synth if you can afford it.
The Thicker version.
Throw the filter into the washing machine do a gentle wash.
Remove the spring and clamp first.
Once its spin dried. Bolt it back on and bring it over for some oiling.
Or just bring it over and we will clean and oil it.

Ron I have already bought Mobil 1 Fully Synth 5W50 oil. I got it from the dealer directly. Also bought NGK BKR6E G power plugs.

Will bring over the Chinoy Filter over to your place. All my filters need cleaning, car, RD, RX.

Another thing, I will be flushing the radiator and going back to old coolant, for ease of maintainance.

6 is the wrong heat range for your plug.
6 is the plug that cause deto on the FRC engine (Stock cam stock ECU)
6 is the plug that melted the Cedia Pistons.

EP = Extended Performance.

Don't go on the name, though. Just remember that it's the original great M1 formula, before they went down in quality on the regular M1, in interests of profits.

Hey CrazyD doesn't mobil-1 have a 20 or 25 thousand oil-change interval? I was getting paranoid about changing my oil and i finally did it at the 12K mark but the oil was fresh and not discolored or emanating a burnt smell. The mechanic too was surprised that the car had done 12K kms since the last oil change.

I think thats the Extended Performance where its some 15000 miles or something like that. I have decided that use the best oil, change it as often as u can afford.

Modern synthetics will run longer than you expect. But yes, end of the day, you are running still running the OEM filter, and that filter will still clog at it's usual rate. (OK, a bit slowed down because of less wear and tear after synthetic).
Change filter. The oil will still be good to go for sometime more. Just top up whatever is lost during the filter change and you are done. Do you want to go down that route?
