Authenticity of posts made on this forum.

Post by chinoy »

Some competitors have said that most of the posts on this feedback forum. Are all made by a single guy namely me the owner. Signing up with different Userid's and posting good stuff.

So how can one tell if this is the case. Or each of these posts are all Genuine Customers.

Well here are some of the routes that can be used to confirm the Authenticity of the posts.

a. Check the IP address.
They are from all over the world.
(True this can be faked too)

b. Pick any post at Random on this forum.
And send the person a PM or e-mail. Asking them to verify their location / identity.
Im sure that anybody who has posted here in favor of RDD will be kind enough to back it up. Either with a phone call or even a meeting.
Give it a shot if you have any doubts.

Basically yes.
But you have to look at in from a settings perspective.

A bunch of guys having a few beers. And the topic of RDD comes up.
And somebody will say. He seems to have a good rep / happy customer base a shit load of positives. And somebody will singer yeah sure anybody can setup a feedback forum. And post what ever they want.

In such a setting that guys brain isnt going to think like yours just did.

Ron, no matter what people say,
Fact is
1:- You have so many people lined up for engine builds, you have the luxury of choosing customers.
2:- You can double your rates and people will still be ready to wait for a year, or more for that build.
3:- Most of your customers have become your friends for life. That says it all.
End of story.

Sad thing is, if someone points out the above mentioned facts to these sceptics, they still wont believe you.
I'd say dont bother.

satyajitmenon you forgot my name.

Forget it Ron.your name now has too much authenticity to be harmed by your competitors.best thing you can do is just bask in the glory.Like a statement from the film Guru-when people talk bad things about you, don't worry,It means you're moving ahead.

people will never let you live ron.not if your business gets in slump. and not when your business goes up into the sky.

Ron, forget it. I don't think such gossip over a beer table is gonna hamper your reputation one bit. [-(

I'm sure that each one of us (your thoroughly satisfied customers) can & in deed do vouch for the "AWESOME-NESS" of RDD products and services :bow1: whenever & wherever we can to all of our friends & acquaintances. This word of mouth advertisement is what counts most. Keep up the good work. =D>

ron, I think its just a waste of your time responding to this kind of silly negative remarks.

Whoever they are, who is making this kind of allegations are

1) side kicks of other wannabe tuners, who are possibly losing out.
2) so called tuners themselves, who are having a dose of self doubt, and feeling insecure
3) Guys who wants to gloat that just a snide remark can make you go scurrying around, and thus waste your valuable time
4) guys who always wants you to chase shadows, guys who play mind games

ete etc

Let them be Ron, most people will find RDD after shafted by many others during their journey, if for some reason a future customer doesn't wants to miss all that action ( of being shafted ), how can you stop them from indulging in it.

What you need is mature customers, and that whole journey will either piss them off badly, (1)they will just return to "stock" and forget the speed trip,

or. (2) they will continue the trip, and may find RDD and enjoy being here, possibly satisfied with your products/services, may become Mature not just in age, but in everything else.

you need to concentrate on the second lot. don't waste your time chasing shadows.
The advice to ‘be yourself’ is obviously nonsense.
But our brains accept this tripe as wisdom, because it is more comfortable
to believe that we have a strategy for life than to believe we have no idea how to behave.

You can't please everyone. Those who don't want to believe will never be convinced even with the hard facts. For those who b elieve the world is flat it will always be.

So, screw them and enjoy and entertain the customers who would like to be enlightened and reap the benefits. It's as simple as that.

The aim of this post wasn't to elicit support form you guys.
Just an idea on how the authenticity of the posts here could be verified.

Possibly the only real way of authenticating any of the posts is by adding video of the person giving testimony and adding it to the post.

Hopefully no one will say it's a morphed image like our celebrity bollywood sluts.

Ron, the way I see it you have two options: Ignore the problem, which is what I think the guys are trying to tell you. Or.

A proper RDD store front-end with complete customer and build bio included. I know the issues you're having here so a quick fix solution would be to post up a few pictures and maybe videos of some of your builds. I am sure the guys will oblige.

Yes I think more pictures with the feedback is the right solution.
And with Videos of the bike running like in the old days.
