Thats great news Ron, hope it works out for you.

I just came back today after clocking around 2300 kms in the last one week. This makes it around 10300kms done after we started porting at 27K. Enough has been said about the cars performance and I dont have anything further to add.

I did not push it this time, but clocked a around 195kmph on the speedo in fourth gear. It gets upto 180kmph very fast and then take some time to move ahead. Mileage remains a respectable 11kmpl or there abouts. Most of the time was around 140kmph which translates to 4k rpm in 5th.

Things to improve
1. Remap for the mileage mode to richen it to suit my highway needs. My cruising is around 5th gear and 4K rpm and I need to optimize the map for that.
2. Need a better sounding/milder sounding exhaust. Most probably a good endcan should resolve my issue. I can keep this for later.
3. The cooling fan irritates with its buzz. Need a more silent one.

I would like to conclude my update here saying this build has been reliable for 10K and am sure it will continue doing so.

Got the opportunity to drive Mohit's car this time he was in Kerala . Man .... what do I say?? ... the car is simply AWESOME!! The way it pulls like a train right from the word go is amazing . The Koni's , tyres and brakes make it a complete package.
Power from way low rpms all the way to the redline!!

Guys ... I drive an OHC Vtec and this car simply blows it away! Butt dyno feel is that this car should be putting out at least 115 Bhp at the wheels. Put it on a dyno and post the figures man.

RON ... You have done an amazing job as always. All RDD Builds that I have sampled right from MadMax's RD has been fantastic!! If this is how a budget street setup performs , I can't even imagine how an out and out turbo build would be ! Deep Respect man !!
The future belongs to them that believe in the power of their dreams.

Thanks Dan.
I see Ajit hasn't posted anything about his little ride or the comments made there after
This car was done to show case RDDs 4 Stroke / Car modding skills.
Thanks to Mohit for the patience and trust.
Till they figure out a way to copy my circuit its going to be hard to beat.

Thanks Dan, glad you liked the setup, I can imagine someone troubling Ron soon enough. Coming from a VTEC owner, that too a very well maintained one, your comments are more than appreciated.

I cant say anything about it without coming across like a gushing school kid. And I cant pick one thing about the car i dont like except the fact that it isnt mine. [:)]
Maybe there are cars out there pulling sillier numbers but this is definitely the fun setup. I bet anyone who drives it will want to own it. And that IMHO has always been the true test of an RDD product. Way to go!

Aww come on man. Was expecting something better for all the effort Poor Mohit put into your run.

I feel a tuner has to have a deeper vision for an engine than just fancy numbers.
The fun factor has a lot to do with the fact that she pulls right off idle.

A lot like the RD Combo power delivery.
I knew if we could match that kind of power delivery we would have a fun setup.
Where in todays traffic does it make any kind of sense to have a motor that only starts pulling after 5000 RPM. Even out tracks are designed for low end motors.

Next target is to get this baby on the track.
Mohit I will be in CBE early next month you have free access to the Dyno and the track if you can bring the car down. It will be fun to show off the build to the CBE guys.
Im sure they will have tons of ideas for even more power.

Had been after Mohit for a while now to get a ride in his RDD Baleno...So we met up today at Rons & Mohit was generous enough to let me have some fun & drive(ring road). What can I say???? Simply outstanding. From the engine ticking over comfortably at around 900 rpm at the red light, to the superbly clean launch, the seemingly endless power surge through the shifts & no chance to get to 4th because you've already bitten off more than you can chew  think we hit about 155-160 between lights & I hadn't even floored the pedal in 3rd..was pulsing the throttle & can feel her bucking & ready for more...shit fluck this is beginning to sound like porn man..

And the icing on the cake was the suspension setup + brakes + tire combo. That thing was like a missile on rails through the ring road corners man..hunkering down into the corner & taking it super easy even with my shitty lines & then being able to pull up comfortably with plenty of brake feedback..no lockup nothing...

All in all a simply superb setup..something that I'd love to have.. Fantastic work Ron & congrats Mohit on making all the right choices in gear, goodies & tuner!

PS. Ron gimme a break...this by no stretch of imagination is a "mild street setup" .... and when do we start on my Fusion ??? need to start some serious planning :)

:D he he I knew you would like it. You got accustomed to the car pretty fast, and you can actually push it more when you get to know the handling better. Especially with the suspension if you are blasting through bad patches you need to go flat out. The more speed you carry, it will fly over it.

Ha ha how many times I have heard that one. Actually we have gone a lot conservative on this setup. Emphasis was only reliability.

Time for some duraTORQ power

I think there is something amazing to report.

The Mileage we are getting on Mohits car post the tune, even in power mode. Is Equal to or better than the Mileage we are getting on the Stock Baleno.
This is amazing.
If anybody doubts and is willing to pay for the gas. Both cars are available for testing.

Can anybody guess how we are achieving this. i.e. a substantial increase in power. with no loss of mileage.
The answer is quite simple really.

Hint you can never achieve the same with a re-map. With a re-map you will have some increase in power and a huge drop in fuel efficiency can anybody tell me why ?

Efficiency! Ron..in simple words you have just made the stock car's engine more efficient. combination of optimum combustion with the help of right flow+ compression + the custom curve which combine to produce power + mileage..zimple. !!

in a re-map u r just trying to feed more and more fuel into the engine.
where as in tuning u try to utilise each drop of fuel more efficiently.

The volumetric efficiency of the engine is higher than the stock one..Thus more power, same mileage.

With re-map, i think one has to consider other engine parameters into consideration..like without a suitable cam, the re-map of the ecu will only result in increased power but no mileage.
