@derek:take it in any way. it's not like i'll be speeding at 120 or something through traffic tryin to kill ne1.and whenever i have driven the car,i had either my grandad or my parents with me so i'm sure they would've taken all into consideration.

Mate, you can end up in an accident even if it wasn't your fault (i.e. you may not be speeding/driving rash, but someone else might). And when that does happen, if you're not legally allowed to drive, it won't matter who was at fault. You'll still be blamed and the cops will use this point to their advantage.

Hence derek's (perhaps overly aggressive) advice. It's not just for the safety of others on the road, it's for your own safety too.

ur parents let u drive with a fake license? nice.........and wats ur grandad/parents gonna do when u land up in an accident (god forbid) ???? take ur side and cover u up? even better.........i wud never let my kids drive with a fake license, and just btw i had 4 cars and 3 bikes when i turned 18,my dad deals with RTO and police everyday,it wud take precisely 10 seconds for him to make me a drivers license,BUT he made sure i got my license when i turned 18 AND i was never allowed to drive or ride any of his cars.......maybe that was in my day, today it is different i guess........

satya....not bothered about his safety at all, much more concerned about the safety of others on the road...accidents can happen anywhere, anytime to anyone.......and when that does happen,u wont be having a legal license......

The more you know of me, the more you would realize that age has nothing to do with maturity Derek. I think the earlier you start the better you are.

I don't have a fake license but plan to apply for an original one once i turn 18.that'll be in about a month's time.till then,i have a ll.oh and my parents aren't that liberal.they give me freedom to an extent but if i cross over and misuse it,it'll start raining fireballs aimed at pinpoint accuracy at point-blank range hurled towards me :D

lol this poor guy is getting picked on a lot, eh? well, i do see dereks point of view. rules are made for a reason, and should be followed. still, if aditya is driving responsibly and safely, then i see no harm in driving for short distances, along with his relatives in the car..ultimately, its a huge risk for aditya and his relatives. granted, its also risk to people on the road, but im sure that hes driving as safely as he can.

aditya, just because rules CAN be broken, it doesn't mean that they SHOULD be broken, ya know? granted, in india its much easier to break rules than in the states.. and getting caught can mean a small fine that goes straight into the cops pocket.. but as i said before, rules are usually there for a reason. some laws may me old and meaningless in todays world, but traffic rules should be followed, as they are intended for public safety.

just my opinion..

Teji...SIR....lol...hahahaha...now it'll soon be teji uncle.i won't be the only one.lol.

by the way aditya welcome here.drive safe man.you'll learn why there are age limits for certain things when you grow up...the human mind develops very much with age.right now if you happen to get into an emergency state of accident then you won't know how to handle that situation.

so be safe and sensible.and ride at speeds at which you can handle any situation.
