Hello everybody!
Hello everybody,
Missed out posting an introduction, earlier, when I registered. So sorry about that. Reading Chinoy's post in the 'New Members' forum made me feel guilty, and so, here it is
I'm a 32 year old SW engineer working in an MNC in Bangalore (I stay close to Big Bazaar on Old Madras Road). I've been member of team-bhp.com, since past 3 years or so, and had met Chinoy at one of the track days organized by v1p3r, Psycho etc at Kari Motor Speedway, way back in Oct 07 (@Chinoy, if you remember the red OHC that you drove back to Bangalore from Coimbatore - that's mine).
I am not into bikes, as such, and more of a car person. I own a 2000 model OHC, with Greddy 4x2x1 headers, custom freeflow, and K&N universal. The car has clocked over 76k now.
I had registered at rddreams.com after the trackday at KMS, but I suppose, the userid was blocked/removed soon after, since I did not actively login. I came down to rddreams.com again, to follow the mods on crazydiablo's baleno. Absolute drool maal! I intend to carry out those mods (brakes, suspension, engine-mods - in that order) on my OHC as well, in due time, step by step. Hoping to learn more on tuning on my way, while here
Cheers!
Chirag (aka agentsmith @ team-bhp.com).

Re: Hello everybody!
Welcome.
Do you have a red honda city with see through bonnet and dual exhaust. I think I have seen you car at EVO a few weeks back. I thought that was a full works car.

Thanks for the welcome, crazydiablo! And no, sir, I don't have those on my ride, though, I may have been at Satya's a few weeks back for headlights - I prefer a sleeper car lookcrazydiablo wrote: Do you have a red honda city with see through bonnet and dual exhaust. Re: Hello everybody!
Are you the guy or do you know the guy who has a beautiful Persian cat, and drives around in a heavily modded Honda City? I happened to meet this person by chance when I was at the coffee shop on MG road and saw the cat. Then he showed me his car...

Yeah I remember.
You drive super safe. And treat your car with kid gloves.
Then you let VPR13 touch it and it lost around 20,000 Kms of engine life in 5 minutes.
lol just kidding.

Have the memory of an elephant man.
Also remember your CI setup was not very good.
You may want to have that fixed or worked on by somebody who knows what they are doing.
That Track weekend was just too entertaining to forget.

Gosh! You have too good a memory! Yes, the CAI sucks, and I have been trying out variety of plumbing for K&N, but ain't satisfied with anything. You had suggested cutting out the bumpers for air dams, but that, I am not keen on, as it would spoil the sleeper look of the car. I'll look you up, when I am free to work on my car, and am not strapped for cashchinoy wrote:Have the memory of an elephant man.

Re: Hello everybody!
I went over your thread on team-bhp.com and found just this: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/attachmen ... ld-Chinoy Filter.jpg. Is there any other picture, which I missed? Is there some other pipe which sucks in air from outside (doesn't look like there is)? What kind of material is the intake pipe?crazydiablo wrote:You should check out my CAI
