Mid-life craze

Post by NAV »

My wife thinks I am going thro a mid-life crisis - when I came home unannounced with a RD I just bought (in pic). I tell her it is about time I do the things I always wanted to. Grew up on a RX100 - RD seemed daunting at that time - mainly due to fear of costs (mileage) and fear of the big bike I suspect!

Fourteen years after I moved on to cars, I cant describe how it felt when I rode a bike again. I went from not-so-sure-I-can-do-it to I've-been-riding-all-my-life in no time! The RD feels so full and handles absolutely brilliantly-I felt I hadn't gone anywhere!!! No worries on costs anymore and no worries around adrenalin rushed risks, so m all set to start a lifetime relationship with my 350!!!

The unfortunate state of our cities means that I am looking for open roads in the country sides to enjoy the rides, but there is no way I can take an unreliable one out there. Just setting off on rebuild and conditioning journey!

My other wheels that keep my life in fast lane -
Hercules 21 speed
Skoda Laura L&K DSG

Cheers
