digi cdi units

Post by akshai_ambrose »

Hi Ron,
i want to know why the digi cdi units differ. The wiring of he unit u gave Sarfaraz and the unit u gave me is different. Why that difference cant the units be the same in fit and finish.
My unit doesnt stard without the battery. The battery has to be fully charged for the bike to run well.I thpouigh it wouyld be maintainence free but its like a bloody points replacement producing more current.
Now whats thith digi IV?I would have gone for digi IV instead.

My RD running RDD Cdi starts on second kick even after 3-4 months with the battery as good as dead. If I am not mistaken, the RDD CDI needs only .5 amp to power up.

Actually 0.4 mili amps.
It will start even without a battery.

Please try and figure out what your real issue is. Because its not the CDI

I have already gone above and beyond all limits in supporting you. But this is the limit.
I have wasted enough time. We even tested the CDI unit in front of you.
And in answering your questions. Both in person, online and via phone. In fact after testing the unit in front of you on the other bike. I thought youd finally see the light and get some sense. Seems I was wrong.

Dont try and blame or defame a good product. Because your too slow.
If you cant follow basic instructions. Or figure out a simple electrical problem. Switch to an analogue unit or sell the kit. But I predict no matter what Ignition you use your battery will continue to drain till you figure out what your real issue is.

This is my last post on the subject.

I'm one of those guys who also doubted the cdi because it was switching off every 2km on a 60km journey. Discovered that the switch was breaking contact due to vibration and messing with the cdi. Rectified that and there hasnt been a problem yet.
