digital tach not reading tach signel from CDIII
digital tach not reading tach signel from CDIII
Is there any way to test the output from the CDI III orange tach out put wire? I'm not getting any tach reading from my Acewell cycle computer when hooked up and set up to fire once per revolution since its a two stroke.
RE: digital tach not reading tach signel from CDIII
Depends on which version of the CDI you have.
The best way to chk is with a scope.
If the orange tacho out is shorted to ground it will stop working. But the CDI should keep working.
Your tach what signal does it want or expect. The old RZ meters expect the same lead that goes to the HT coil to go to the tach.
Your basic tach options depending on type of tacho are.
a. Pulsar wire signal.
b. Digital tacho out
c. Ht coil wire to tacho.
