Lurker comes clean...

Post by henzelton »

Well I've looked over this site for over the past year looking for info on a rough shape R5C that I got for 100$ Two new children have used all my time lately.
Now I'm hopefully getting a CDI from Ron and a new to me '73 RD350 in the spring. Great community you have here thanks for every ones hard work and friendly advice.

Minneapolis, near River View theater. I work for the light rail.

Where are you from Sven?

Welcome mate. Are you combining the R5 and RD or are they separate restoration projects? Some pics of the ringdingers would be nice. ;)

The R5 was/is a barn find with a clean title. An untitled bike is very hard to license here you have to get a "dead mans" title meaning the last owner can't be found, then if they do show up in 5 years they can claim there bike back.... Good bye five years of hard work. It does have a clean tank good compression, fresh tires, and nice pipes.

The RD is from my brother-in-law, it's in near perfect condition. The RD will be for the wife in basically stock form with possibly CDI being only upgrade.

The plan for the R5C is for CDI, DG exhaust, Boost bottle, clubman bars, and single seater seat like what MotoCarrera makes.

Pics will come soon, right after grand parents get baby pictures
