The F650 are designed to carry you, your luggage and the kitchen sink into the middle of nowhere, and back again!

Now that you mention it, I also replaced the Y-boot, which was cracked in more places that I expected :)

Wiring harness is the usual RX-modified job, using RX switchgear. They aren't the best in wet weather, but rebuildable and sturdy.

I prefer the Ferio switches or get the RXZ switches. Only problem is you will need to swap connectors.
And the install is a little more involved.

Thanks Ron, I will look into that as well. For the first time, I am riding my bike in all weather without the slightest doubt about the electricals. My only nagging problem remains dirt in the carbs through the fuel lines. Prizm got me a couple of oversized fuel filters. Lets see how that works out.

Also, I've done over 400km so far, about 85% at 60 and 15% at 80. The engine feels very free and there are no unusual sounds under any circumstances. Is it an appropriate time to start with a little Motul? Comments people?

complete your running before switching to Motul.......probably just before you open her wide open...
