Hi - welcome to the club.
Why don't you get a bigger bike rather than tuning a 100cc machine. In Europe the cost of tuning is much higher than the difference between a 100cc bike and a 200cc one so nobody bothers. I would expect tuning a small capacity 2 stroke would also reduce the engine life considerably.
I expect that there are other considerations to take into account in India, but I have no knowledge of them so can't really comment.
Cheers, Mark

Yo Mark, the problem is there AREN'T any bigger 2-strokes here. There're the 100 cc ones (Yamaha RX, Suzuki AX, Kawa KB), then a few 135's (Yams again), a 150 (Suzuki), an ancient 250 (Yezdi - derivative of Jawa) and of course the RD-350. Most of us have to be happy modding either the RX-135 or RD-350 Yamahas. The others are more difficult to mod due to inferior quality of factory engine parts and lack of expertise (general situation) or interest (RDD-specific situation).

Ah - I see the problem. 2 strokes over 125 are pretty rare in Europe too these days. The last bulk seller was the RD350YPVS but that stopped being sold new in the early 1990s.
I stand by the principle of tuning vs buying larger. How would the cost of tuning your 100cc bike to 18hp compare to buying a secondhand RD350 for example?

well to an extent i do agree with ur stand on buying a 2nd hand rd 350 instead of enhancing 100/135 cc rx's performance..but it is possible only if u r in some selected big cities in india where u have some rd's roaring around..as its rare to find a mechanic & source parts in a small city other than these cities.

Hi Mandrik nice to see a guy from my native :), i am from Bhilai and rides RD350 and i think we have only 4-5 RD's in CG :).Now i am in Bangalore.Hope you will have a nice time over here.
If you have a will power you will get RD and its parts, but everything comes with its own cost.
Rajdoot Yamaha RD350.
